Project Summary
The 24-months project “Strengthening Cross-Sectoral Youth Policy Development, Developing Communities“ owes the initial idea to the EU-CoE Youth Policy Symposium in Prague, where representatives of all four partner organisations met to discuss solutions to current problems in youth policy development. As a result of expert inputs and their own discussions they have concluded that there is an urgent need to develop a project fostering cross-sectoral policy-making at all levels with a clear focus on inclusion and advocacy.Against this background, the initiative is designed to enhance international cooperation in the youth field with a strong orientation to exchanging practices on cross-sectoral youth policy development involving civils society organisations, young people, local and national authorities and the private sector to enhance youth participation in political, social, economic and cultural spheres. In order to reach this envisioned expectation, the project has 3 objectives:- To foster an exchange of practices on cross-sectoral youth policy development and structured dialogue between EU and EaP stakeholders of youth work for developing an effective youth-led approach to cross-sectoral youth policy- To develop practical skills of young leaders to pro-actively influence youth policy development through youth organisations and dialogue processes with local and national authorities in the youth sector- To promote structured dialogue and inclusive youth policy development among different youth stakeholders on local and international levelThe project applies a mix of international mobility activities, capacity development activities and dissemination measures for a wide range of youth stakeholders (youth organisations, young leaders, private sector and representatives of public bodies, educational institutions working on youth issues) and young people, especially those with fewer opportunities.Resulting from project`s the set of activities, we expected to reach four concrete outcomes:- 15 follow-up projects for transnational exchange of practices and institutional learning partnerships in the youth field are established as a result of the international seminars- 2 guidebooks (available in English, Russian, Azerbaijan, and Romanian) on practices for cross-sectoral cooperation for inclusive youth participation and on practises for inclusive youth work for youth participation reached more than 3000 users- 3 new partnerships between youth organisations, local or national public bodies or educational institutions for addressing specific local youth challenges through structured dialogue result from the youth advocacy campaigns in Azerbaijan and Moldova- 4 local or national partnerships for shared learning between youth organisations, public bodies, educational institutions, the private sector from EaP and Erasmus+ programme countries are formedThe project is carried by partner organisations from Azerbaijan, Hungary, Moldova and Turkey.
