Project Summary
“Successful Communication – the Future of Europe” is a two-year project implemented within the programme Erasmus + School Education (KA2) Strategic Partnerships for Schools Only.
The main objective of the project was to analyze various forms and ways of communicating and to use them effectively in developing both basic and transversal skills.
The partners in the project were three secondary schools : Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących nr7 w Łodzi (Poland), Istituto Istruzione Secondaria Superiore “De Nittis-Pascali” in Bari (Italy), “Gheorghe Munteanu Murgoci” National College of Braila (Romania).
The project included a variety of language and culture classes, theater workshops, integration workshops and the one on auto-presentation, short-term exchanges of groups of students, transnational project meetings and video-meetings with representatives of the partner schools.
During the project the participants made films about their schools, presentations on the history of communication, newsletters, they also wrote letters and Christmas cards. They cooperated in creating the booklet and the dictionary of language abbreviations. They made silent films and added dialogues to films prepared by their partners, too.
The activities resulted in increasing students’ knowledge about the history of communication and their partners’ countries, their culture, traditions and their system of education. In addition, the project improved the language skills of all participants (the use of English) and made them aware of importance of nonverbal communication (body language). Thanks to the project activities, participants were able to develop creativity, social and civic skills, and the IT skills in the use of modern technologies. The activities implemented in the project improved communication and relationships between students, teachers and parents. They also allowed the exchange of experience and good practices of teachers participating in this project.
The improvement in students’ communication skills and the knowledge they acquired during the implementation of the project, will help them to achieve success both in education and their future lives, in general. The exchange of experience and good practices will increase in using new, effective teaching methods in all partner schools. Moreover, we hope that the established cooperation at local and international level will result in other enterprises and projects.
