Project Summary
Sustainable Performance Lifestyle: Mindful Balance at Work & Home (SPL) was a project aimed to develop Mental Well being (Psychological Capital) in millennial Youth Social / Entrepreneur / Corporate / Individuals with the intention to avoid and manage the stress from the Quarter-Life Crisis.
A study conducted by Harris Interactive for American Psychological Association found that. “Millennial’s are more stressed than older generations”.
With a top-end technology provided by Firstbeat we will provide Personalized Lifestyle assessments that will help participants to identity and implement changes to manage stress, recover better and increase physical Activity (exercise). The assessment is based on analysis of heart rate variability (HRV).
Participants received personalized feedback coaching and mentoring from wellness specialist and a six-module workshop that will provide effective tools and insights for improving their health and personal and professional lives.
Feedback from participants confirm that they improved their well-being and their Emotional Intelligence by managing their stress, increase their sleep quality and by incorporating exercise into their habits through: concentration, self-control, self-understanding, optimism, accelerated learning, achievable goal settings, problem solving skills, social collaboration, resilience rather than avoid problems.
The project improved the mental well-being by participants by:
– Lifestyle assessment by Firstbeat to find the before and after. With personalized reports on: Stress, Recovery and Exercise.
– Learn “how to” quickly re-balance mind, body and emotions as individuals reduce stress.
– Build resilience through improved health, stamina and well-being
– Avoid burnout in chaotic and changing environments.
– Maximize creativity and innovation
– Boost performance and increase mental clarity and memory
– Incorporate a physical activity and provide evidence of the benefits.
– Be less reactive, think more clearly, make better decisions (especially under pressure)
– Building resilience in teams and individuals across the organization and individuals involved.
The data results expected are objective and measurable:
a) Overnight minimum heart-rate decrease.
b) Increase awareness of perceiving sleeping quality.
c) Increase the daily physical activity. (including yoga exercises at home)
d) Decrease on regular usage of stimulants. (alcohol, caffeine and other)
e) Increase the ability for natural regeneration (coherence)
f) Self-knowledge moved towards the real value of healthy lifestyle.
After the project our Strategic Partnerships have increased the capabilities of the main organization adopting the certified methodologies from HeartMath and Firstbeat and are better prepared to deploy education and training with innovative practices in youth field to promote well-being to other youth organizations and potentially become a resource available at the SALTO-Youth database.
A formal agreement between AIESEC CZ and Change Agents International was created to provide a continuously training workshops to the organization where every year youth people will receive the benefits from the new capabilities.
