Project Summary

The project Sustainaware 2.0 that took place in 10 countries on 5 continents was the next phase of the Partnership and a capacity building activity on education for Sustainable development. It consisted of:

Phase 1 (March – May 2015)

1.1. Testing the SA Toolkit in 5 core partner countries

1.2. 1st GPM with core partners to (June 2015):
– Design and constitute the Global Online Mobilization Campaign (GOMC) on the run up to COP21,
– Evaluate the testing phase of the SA Toolkit,
– Co-design the RPMs and LT based on SA Toolkit and evaluation,
– Designing the Global Online Mobilization Campaign (GOMC),
– Start to develop a training Educational Module for the Model COP Sessions on 2nd GPM,
– Agreeing on the process of development of Regional Youth Manifestos on CC,
– Agreeing on the final toolkit and developing the online tool and conceptualizing the Smartphone Toolkit App.

Phase 2 (September 2015 – May 2016)

2.1. Five RPM in Slovenia, Argentina, India, Zambia and USA
– In Argentina for Latin America
– In India for Asia
– In Zambia for Africa
– In Slovenia for Europe
– in New York for USA –

2.2. Launch of the GOMC on five continents

The GOMC consisted of creating an online campaign for young people aged 15 to 30 to deliver their message to the leaders at COP21 through pictures, videos, captions, blog entries and other designs. After the COP21 the message from different countries went towards action to show good examples by young people and youth organizations towards Sustainable development (via #iEmpower)

Phase 3 (September 2015 – June 2016)

Three local replications of trainings (LT) in each participating country, reaching at least 100 multipliers in each country participating.

Phase 4 (November 2015 – July 2016)

2nd GPM happening just before and during the COP21 in Paris (November 2015)
– Present SA 2.0 results and the GOMC,
– Model COP Sessions – simulate the Negotiation processes of COP21,
– Final Evaluation,
– Planning ahead.

Phase 5 – Follow-up (July – August 2016)
– Reporting, monitoring and evaluation,
– Measuring the impact,
– Developing, testing, publishing and promoting the smartphone Toolkit App
