Project Summary
The entrepreneurial competence is one of the underlying competences emphasized in the objectives of European education. The importance of entrepreneurship capacity building is particularly emphasized in the Post-Soviet European regions where there is often an economic and social exclusion, a high level of unemployment and a low living standard. Therefore, the aim of the project is to increase five to eleven class students’ entrepreneurial skills through the effective use of training in the outermost regions of Lithuanian and Bulgarian that are similar in size, economic and social environment. We have created local inter-institutional partnerships between schools, municipalities and local institutions to carry on the project. We will reach the following results by active collaboration between regions: increasing leadership, autonomy, accountability and openness to alternation of the students in Rokiskis and Provadia municipal schools is not less than 2 times; the increasing number of lessons where teachers use active teaching methods is not less than 50 per cent; every teacher of different school subjects will relate teaching and students’ life experience, and the development of entrepreneurship will be creatively integrated into the plans of school curriculum not later than in class five. It will be carried on mobilities of 24 teachers in order to reach the intended results within 2 years; it will be organized a 20- day practical training in Lithuania and Bulgaria , and the participators will be 12 teachers of different school subjects working with 5-11 class students in Kamajai Antanas Strazdas gymnasium and Provadia second basic school “Ivan Vazov”. Teachers will learn together and from each other, disseminate and spread their experience producing a methodological publication in the Lithuanian, Bulgarian and English languages. Rokiskis and Provadia municipalities will carry out the longitudinal researches to measure the results. The created tools of evaluation, the methodological publication and the achieved results during the project will be disseminated in the education institutions of the national level through the local and regional press, the Internet and everything will be published on the ERASMUS database. At the end of the project the methodological publication will be still actively introduced for a year to the teachers in all schools of Rokiskis and Provadia municipalities so that the two regions will actively carry out entrepreneurship education of student through integration with other school subjects and through non-formal education activities.
