Project Summary
The project deals with the imaginative and creative preoccupation with and implementation, processing and design of books, which strengthens the joint work of the project partners, has a lasting impact on and positively influences both communities. Getting to know the cultures on both sites, playing theater scenes together and spinning on of connecting ideas, tailoring costumes, building stage sets, becoming a director, printing books, making films … should lead to a more intensive partnership of which pupils, teachers and parents benefit. With this project we want to integrate an even broader student body into the project work. Working together on project content, identifying with the project partners, recognizing the commonalities, dealing with common values and European ideas should be more firmly anchored and be even more widely accepted. With this project we have developed sketches and ideas that meet the sometimes different conditions and needs of schools. E.g. to clearly focus on needs and goals, to further promote real added value in the European sense and in the sense of the desired goals according to Erasmus + for the whole school life on both sides and thereby to strengthen creativity, the engagement with the individual cultures and the promotion of key competencies of the student body are the reasons for the application. The goals pursue, on the one hand, to strengthen European awareness and democratic aspirations by actively participating in an international project and reducing prejudices against strangers.
To achieve this goal, we want to integrate broad sections of the respective student body into our project with a literature and reading project. On the other hand, the main goal of these topics is to increase social and reading skills, to strengthen self-competence in the area of physical expression and to strengthen the foreign language skills of the students participating in the AUL. The promotion of creativity in the implementation of literary material is also a central goal. This should be done both artistically and representatively.
When dealing with the chosen “favorite books” of each class level, the pupils will read their “class book” in both schools and deal with it creatively (collages, posters). These are organized as school exhibitions, which are also accessible to parents and partners. In the joint activities and exchanges, the books selected in the school assemblies for the “favorite school books” are mediated into a foreign language by the students taking part in the exchanges, and in the meetings they are staged as theatre scenes and later changed organically. The resulting theater performances will be accessible to a wide audience, a video recording is planned. In addition, a graphic design of the stage play, workshops on stage design, costume design, scenic play and digital processing options are planned.
