Project Summary

This project is initiated as an ample cooperation between the partner countries of the consortium, in order to enhance the development of volunteering in the partner countries by assisting youngsters to maximise their potential through the provision of high-quality volunteer management education, training and exchange activities. The inspiration of You aims at fostering cooperation and capacity building among NGOs in Europe, Latin America and Asia and its specific objectives are: – To stimulate the capacity building of youth workers and in youth work about volunteering by developing their knowledge and skills in Volunteer management process- To educate young people about volunteering by developing awareness and understanding of its importance, developing new knowledge and skills useful in achieving social and personal changes- To research best practices in across different models of youth volunteering in different sectors with a view in elaborating a comprehensive volunteer management processes in the partner organizations- To establish a permanent framework of volunteer management processes among NGOs, youngsters and stakeholders in Europe, Latin America and Asia- To foster direct access to volunteer management processes by youngsters and youth operators all over the world through the elaboration of a web platform The main results of the project refer to:- Research on best practices across different models of youth volunteering in different sectors, involving the following thematic areas: Volunteer management programs, Youth Volunteering contexts, Volunteer recognition, Networking, National Policies- Training activities for staff involved in youth sector from the partner’s organizations in volunteer management training course to develop knowledge and skills to recruit, train and motivate volunteers thus, providing a robust structure for them to work within.- Youth exchanges involving youngsters and Aiming to get better understanding of the importance of volunteering and developing new knowledge and skills useful in achieving social and personal changes – Best practices in youth volunteering website storing project contents and results targeted at youth operators and other organizations which have or wish to have volunteering programs.
