Project Summary

Italy (SMS GIUSEPPE MAZZINI), Poland (SZKOLA PODSTAWOWA W STOLPIU IMIENIA MARII SKLODOWSKIEJ-CURIE), Spain (CEIP POU DE LA MUNTANYA), Latvia (Zemgales vidusskola), Greece (Gymnasio Smynthis ) will carry on The SUN AND THE BLUE, a project about the knowledge of its own land, friendship in order to discover and admire the beauty and the respect of nature, the sense of friendship among different people and the importance of inclusion in a more global and multilingual society, creating a virtual bridge between the 5 countries, putting in evidence the differences and common things, involving students of different nationalities and migrants in the realization of a short films that feature them, their feelings and their bond and love for nature. An immersion on nature and human feelings, discovering movements, colours, respect, the priceless cultural and artistic heritage, but even friendships, freedom and passions. Students, thanks to their teachers will show through photography, video tools, digital techniques and ICT tools experiences and thoughts to make sense on life and society that surround them, eager to experience the world and to make it better. Curiosity and dreams will characterize their journeys through Italy, Polland, Spain, Latvia and Greece. We want to reflect on a theme of strong educational value, documenting cases of degradation with examples of care and protection. Also the project wants to motivate students and teachers to experience and use in practice the instruments of film-making, and the use of new technologies, the use of ICT at school, the labor market, the idea of realizing a short film, starting from a new way of considering EDUCATION.
Animoto and Kahoot will be used.
The priorities of the project are:
-social inclusion
-creativity, entrepreneurial thinking and skills
-open education and innovative practices in a digital era.
The principal objectives are
-To Improve the given percentage of students with learning and linguistic deficiencies, using alternative methodologies to the common didactic approach, creating a situation of deeper inclusion
-To Introduce Innovative Methods of Teaching to go over the classical scheme of knowledge and to promote a new digital era in the field of education.
Through a more flexible and transparent organization of the school which provides open classes, laboratory activities, workshops, festivals, constant contact with the families, contact with media, tv, newspaper, magazines, social network, enhancement of all internal and some external resources, school aims to ensure educational success for native and migrant students.
Open source has made knowledge available to everyone, e-learning has demolished every geographical boundary.The involvment of students and staff will be helped by different online tools: where everyone could exchange feedbacks, proposals, can improve the knowledge of English and can exchange information about job opportunities in Europe
In the project will take part:
-Students (25 of each school involved)
-Teachers: each school will be represented by a groups of 10/12 teachers, with their respective Headteachers, Secretary and Collaborators
-Students who will not participate to the project but are interested in the tools of the project
-Parents.
Outside the organizations:
-professional figures: director, local actors, friends and parents, journalists, photographers
The project’s plan includes transnational learning, teaching and training activities: 1 Short-term joint staff training event in Italy to draw a more definite roadmap of further actions, establishing improvements for better impact and effects, to analyse a plane of evaluation, dissemination, organizing the web site; 5 Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils in which the teams will work together, learn from each other, share their experiences face to face, utter their English in a real environment and gain a European Dimension

-in Spain:ACTION!, is a REAL MOVIE EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP (albums, brochures, posters, videos and DVD)
-in Italy:THE SUN AND THE BLUE, is an activity about a VIDEO TALE DIARY (book, videos, CD and DVD)
-in Latvia:I WOULD TALK TO YOUR HEART, a festival about MOVIE
-in Greece: SINGING IN THE SUN, is a musical
