Project Summary

The World is fast becoming a place of mass waste of its’ resources, due to the lack of education around climate change and our knowledge and skills in caring for the planet, the people and animals who live on the earth. As an international team, we want to address: Environmental and Climate Goals, Social and Educational Value Of European Cultural Heritage, Reinforce The Development of Key Competencies and Civic Engagement together with Responsible Citizenship. The Sustainable Development Goals will guide us towards developing a more focused and meaningful curriculum relating to daily lifestyle choices which help us to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.
We are a team of 6 partner schools, working together collaboratively with more than 2000 children aged from 4- 11 and more than 150 teachers and school and town communities, Bulgaria, Italy, Greece, Spain, Turkey and The United Kingdom. Each of our schools have a range of socio economic, cultural and environmental differences. Together we will begin to address some of the serious challenges we all face together.
Global challenges, in addition to climate change and depletion of natural resources that we face daily, including poverty and enriched transferable life experiences that many children and teachers lack.
We will consider how we live now and how we can adapt and design our curriculum to educate our children and communities to make small, significant changes to lifestyles which will help to protect, preserve and enhance the world we live in now for the benefit of our future generations,
working towards better cultural understanding of other perspectives and barriers to education, learning and social interactions along the way.
Cultural understanding through first hand experience of travel and exchange will better prepare us and future generations for issues faced on a daily basis for example, travel, timetable, resources, space, finance, religion, and other barriers to equal opportunities.
Addressing diversity in a positive and proactive way will help us all to achieve cross border harmony and the means to harness the skills and knowledge to fight for justice for those who encounter discrimination and prejudice.
We aim to visit countries of partners with small groups of children who will become Ambassadors for the project and everything it stands for. We will hold staff training seminars and events locally and Internationally, For example an event in Turkey where teachers from all partner countries will have the opportunity to learn new skills and use of technology to develop existing skills and knowledge and more about the Cultural, Historical and Geographical aspects of Turkey.
We will also plan, meet and discuss / debate, problem solve and develop our project goals online, virtually through video conferencing and social media platforms, and ensure everything is recorded and documented through a collaborative etwinning project and its’ Twinspace.
We will learn through practical activities and encounters from the knowledge and experience of a range of governmental and charitable organisations, locally, nationally and internationally and better establish cooperative work as an essential educational line to enhance teaching and learning to broaden and develop more meaningful, creative and engaging curriculum activities, particularly outdoor learning.
We want to use this opportunity to grow aspirational learners – teachers and children and to achieve quality education that brings success to all students from the lowest level to the highest level of the academic spectrum, as well as trying to combat the struggle of the schools with the issues of early school dropout and disadvantage
