Project Summary

Our school Nazareth, is located in rural areas and is experiencing the desertification of the territories as well as a loss of notoriety linked to its difficult accessibility. Yet, it supports many students with learning difficulties and behavioral issues. We have 15% of our students benefiting from specific support related to the “Pathways for Success” as known as PPR (we have been engaged for 3 years in the GE CNEAP of the Pays de la Loire financed by the European Social Fund ). It is a device to fight school dropout, organized around reinforced individualized support.

Many of these students are in CAPa Sapver classes and their motivation is constantly decreasing: lack of future prospects, professional alternatives far from their concerns … We want to show these 12 students that, through this diploma, different related professions are accessible : hotels, restaurants, tourism …
We also want to allow them, through international mobility and the Erasmus + program, to open up to other cultures, other professional practices and to acquire skills that are transversal to the skills already acquired.
For example, international and interdisciplinary project-based cooperation is one of the most effective ways to inspire mutual collaboration, analytical and logical thinking, and research-based learning among our students.
Our teachers will also see their skills strengthened in the management of project-based learning.

The objectives we want to achieve:
Allow students to project themselves into an internationally oriented profession;
Constant improvement of their results;
The discovery and improvement of the Italian and English language;
Professional development and teacher training on transversal and complementary skills;
Improvement and enhancement of the quality of teaching and learning;
The overall improvement of the marketing and image of our school

The specific activities to reach this project with our partner are the following:
Organize their mobility,
Discovery of the Italian host institution (Etwinning platform) and learning the basics of the language;
Cultural research and meetings with professional partners (hotels, restaurants, tourism …) and students of Istituto D’Istruzione Superiore “E.Medi”.
Construction of professional multilingual (English and Italian) media (eportfolio, job descriptions …)

On the short-term returns, thanks to this project, teachers will be able to improve their language skills, build lasting links with the project leaders of the partner high school in order to expand their professional network and consider “trainer” mobilities focused on exchange of practices. Our students will also be able to evolve in their skills and learnings, assert themselves and gain self-esteem, better know the life and studies in the partner country to be able to consider a job internationally, better understand the use of digital technologies (ICTs) needed today.

The long-term benefits expected for our institution related to this mobility:
Influence the territory through related training creations;
Valuation of diplomas related to personal services;
Becoming a key partner in vocational training by involving all Erasmus + mobility CAP;
Establish local partnerships based on the expertise of our students and our teams.
