Project Summary
Every year in all partner schools there are threats such as low motivation, absenteeism, verbal and physical violence, including bullying and cyber-bully, school drop-outs. It has been found that those most affected by these types of behavior are especially students at risk:with a precarious material situation, from single-parent families or with departed parents, of other ethnic groups, students who have learning difficulties. In order to ensure the inclusion of these students from different socio-cultural backgrounds, different ethnicities, with special needs, it is necessary to include them in appropriate educational programs that offer, at the same time, to all students from the partner schools behavioral models that promote tolerance, solidarity, respect beyond any differences, to increase their learning motivation and to help them establish functional relationships based on mutual acceptance and respect.
The project”Together, beyond differences- Accept me as I am!” is focused on to increase the institutional capacity of the parterer schools to meet pupils’ needs aged between 10 and 15 through programs and educational activities that offer attractive learning alternatives and contexts capable of developing those social competences that ensure the educational and social inclusion of all pupils, programs and activities which promote diversity and intercultural exchange. The project also aims to develop skills for teachers in designing and implementing formal and non-formal learning activities and educational projects adapted to the needs of all categories of students, that ensure equal access to education for all students to combat social exclusion and integrating European values in education and training, thus contributing to increasing the motivation for learning and educating students in the spirit of tolerance and interculturality and limiting negative phenomena affects the school life of the students, contributing to increasing motivation for learning and student education and reducing the risk of school dropout. The objectives were set in accordance with the chosen priorities, related to the development of new competences for both teachers and students involved in the project,by capitalizing the non-formal education valences in activities that will both increase motivation for school success and educational and social inclusion.
