Project Summary

“Together-chance for change ” wants to improve the quality of people´s lives through long term voluntary service in Tanzania. Two Czech and one Slovak youngsters and the community residents in Dongobesh town in Mbulu region are the main actors of mutual learning and working experience for 9 months. The community residents are socially and economically excluded and are affected by poverty. The two way learning ( international volunteers and local people) will contribute to their spiritual, personal and professional development. Alongside this, social, intercultural, societal and political learning is promoted through individual and group working experience. The local people of different ages are considered as experts in their own life situations and asked for responses to their personal development and the development of community. The focus will be put on the implications of participatory approach and non-formal learning methods promoting active participation and involvement. The learning & working together in trilateral teams will be promoted by goal oriented and committed mutual learning which will lead to the empowered actions. They will significantly make an impact on the life changes of individuals and community as such.
