Project Summary
“Together for a Green Europe” is a partnership Erasmus+ K229 of 5 schools from Spain, Romania, Turkey, Italy and Portugal.
The aim of the project is to promote the education for Ecology life as a component of European active civic attitude and behavior through various formal, informal and non-formal activities as: International Exhibition, Celebrations, advertising campaigns performed in common by pupils from all the schools, teachers, parents, members of local authorities and NGOs, by common volunteering activities in communities, creation of virtual materials as e-Magazine, 5 Science common lessons, movies, eTwinning projects and others.
There will be organized 5 activities abroad (“Renewable Energy” , “Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed”, “Enjoy the Nature” , “No biodiversity, no life” , “A healthy environment for next generations”) will enrich the knowledge of the participating pupils and teachers with information on the life style and education systems of European partners, the direct knowledge of the traditions and culture of these peoples. The intense and varied work of the project will also make connections of friendship, solidarity and good understanding between our students and teachers.
Objectives:
– to respect and protect the Nature, by knowing the current environmental situation at European and global level, the way the environment works, by making 5 movies of Science Lesson in English, articles, ppt materials, e-magazine, common volunteering activities, international celebration, workshops, Webpage, blog, Facebook account, 5 eTwinning projects
-to develop a European civic behavior of pupils in relation with students of other nationalities/ethnicities, eliminating the discrimination against other ethnic groups, races, gender, other xenophobic attitudes, developing the self-confidence, adaptability and autonomy
-to increase English language communication by using IT modern programs (for the communication eTwinning, Facebook, Instagram, videoconferences – for articles Website, Blog, magazine) and on the second hand to know how to create a high quality products using internet softs – Printshop, Prezi, Realtime Board on Twitter, eTwinning and Movie Maker
-to exchange good practices examples of schools curricula, school documents, to know different educational systems, schedules, new teaching methods, different evaluation of pupils’ competences, different ways of solving schools’ conflicts
– collaboration between local/European authorities, NGOs, parents and school, to ensure a non-formal, flexible learning of our students connecting to the communities’ needs
Target groups
– pupils from 10-15 years old. The project’s activities will involve teachers, pupil’s families, NGOs, local authorities and communities members.
Concrete results
-Project’s Website, Blog, Facebook, 5 movies of Science Lesson in English, 5 eTwinning new projects, an e-magazine, a brochure about practical ways of an eco-friendly lifestyle, posters, calendars, video presentations of partners’ schools, flyers, articles in national/local newspapers and a DVD with all the project’s materials.
Subjects to address will be included in schools’ curricula, as Science, informatics, foreign languages, ICT, arts, history, civic education, sports, art crafts, music, dancing class.
Methodology
-Curricular and extracurricular activities in school and in local community through variety of learning methods, from classical to modern, formal, non-formal and informal.
– 5 short-term exchange of groups of pupils for194 persons (144 pupils and 50 teachers)
Project’s benefits will be recorded for all the participants: students, teachers, parents, local community and NGOs members. We present only two of them:
-the pupils will increase the communication in foreign languages, directly work with European colleagues developing friendships based on democratic behaviors, will improve ecological, civic, ICT, project management skills (they will be involved in all the project’s stages – preparation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, dissemination and follow-up).
-the project’s staff will improve their ecological, ICT, foreign languages competencies, increase the knowledge of European project’s, increase the education on non-formal way; the local community (authorities and NGOs members) will play an important role in this partnership and will help at the integration of our activities in local community.
Dissemination and Follow-up
We will provide long lasting information through Dissemination Erasmus+ platform, Mobility tools, reports, eTwinning platform, Website, Blog and Facebook’s project, movies in YouTube, presentation on Prezi program, e-magazine in www.issuu, booklets and DVD for durable work of pupils/teachers. We will make a sustainability plan (in the first teachers’ meeting) which will involve the dissemination of project results in least 30 local schools, in 2 years from the moment the project is complet.
