Project Summary

Our Erasmus+ project is called ” Tomorrow’s jobs : Think about your future !” The main topic is the future study choices and the future career paths. Our goal is to inform the students about the career paths they can choose. Therefore it is important to make sure they are aware of the possibility to work in another country : this Erasmus+ project will support this idea because we will get the students to go to different European countries.

This project, which will take place from September 2019 to June 2021, will involve 5 schools in 5 different European countries : Collège Marie Curie in France, Commanderij College in the Netherlands, 6 Gymnasio Kavalas in Greece, Liceul Tehnologic « Sfantul Pantelimon » in Romania and Agrupamento de Escolas Marinhas do Sol in Portugal

The teachers of the project will meet during the first meeting in Greece in September 2019. The goal of this meeting is to discuss and to decide the project requirements, such as the calendar, the learning activities programmes, the tools which will be used.

Five learning activities will be organised, involving short-term exchanges of groups of pupils aged between 13 and 15 years old. Each learning activity will concern around 32 and 10 teachers :
– in November 2019 in Romania
– in March 2020 in Portugal
– in October 2020 in Greece
– in March 2021 in the Netherlands
– in Mai 2021 in France.

During this project the pupils will work on several sectors so they will discover various jobs. They will create booklets about those specific jobs such as engineer, mechanic, salesperson, nurse in order to create an european booklet promoting the 10 most hiring jobs in the year 2030. Those booklets will help them to create videos which would be visible on Twinspace. In these videos the pupils will present job interviews and stagings.
The students will also have the opportunity to visit surveys and meet workers. The teachers will make sure that the gender equality is represented : that’s why the input of men as well as women will be favoured in order to put an end to gender biased stereotypes.
Each school will organise a job forum in order to present the different sectors and jobs the pupils have discovered during the project.

When it comes to the pupils, this project will enable us to achieve a lot of objectives :
– Strengthen their self-confidence
– Enable them to travel and make them want to study or work in the future
– Help them to have a better awareness of European citizenship
– Improve their English level

This project will also help us to reach some objectives for the teachers :
– Guide their professional development thanks to the discovery of ther school systems
– Discover new teaching methods

Finally the schools will derive various benefits by being involved in this project :
– Reinforce the links between the teachers thanks to team work
– Offer the schools more visibility thanks to the dissemination work.
