Project Summary

THEIA Touching Hearts for Environmental International Awareness is the environmental project with the main goal to build up, strenghten and sustain environmental awareness of students and teachers in our schools. Through the environmental activities of separating waste, our footprints – count your food kilometers, building up the composting plant and greenhouse with plants inside are the ones that will attract and motivate the students and teachers in order to think and behave environmentally friendly and safe really our local environment in order to disseminate the project towards other countries via e-twinning , facebook, blogs, yahoogroup. The environmental issues are the ones which concern our society severly so our project will serve to be the means towards the environmental knowledge through the designed activities, The Earth Day with the he evidence of the activites in order to prove them , promote them and disseminate the idea of the project to build up the environmental awareness with the pupils.
FLASHMOB – the students in all participant countries will dance for the music PORTUGAL partner composed on the purpose, shoot it and upload it on the website, e-twinnin space, facebook page
Our institutions will collect, separate the rubbish in our local areas with the banner of environmental issues. There will be organised the day on the bike through our towns, cities in order to promote and disseminate the project and promote eco-friendly behaviour ( the day without cars and reducing traffic pollution).
We invite local producers to organise the fair by the local municipalities to promote our food footprints count our food kilometers.
