Project Summary

CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES. Our project develops in the context of some of the problems we face in our everyday life in the classrooms and our desire to make the students and the whole community aware of them, so we, as a coordinated group, can think, analize and find possible solutions in a local/regional/national/european background. We would like to fight against situations like Early School Leaving, Segregation, Bullying, Learning Difficulties, Disadvantaged students and so on, trying to make our students aware of them through Story Telling together with our partner countries students in transnational visits.NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS AND PROFILEFrom this programme, around 40 people (students and teachers) will benefit directly out of it. 15 students and 8 teachers from every country will see the benefits of the transnational visits that will take place in each of the countries. They will work in their countries creating their stories, and the host countries, presenting and dramatizing them in front of a great audience. It is compulsory for every country to include 3 students that have some learning difficulties or that, in a way, are in a disadvantaged situation. In this way, our main objectives will make sense.Apart from this, and taking into account families, school community and local/regional authorities, more than 1000 people will be able to experience in a way how important is to participate in such a programme and take advantage of its benefits.ACTIVITIESIn terms of the activities, and after the selection process has been done, we will start working with activities previously explained:Logo and song contest; posters promoting the transnational meetings; powerpoints or videos presenting the schools participating in the project; a Story Telling dictionary of words and expressions; experts/organizations coming to school to explain topics; creation of the story related to the topics selected by the coordinators; create the webpage; blog and Twitter account; presentation and dramatization of the stories in the transnational visits; cultural and intercultural visits during transnational meetings; evaluation of the meetings after them and evaluation of the project at the end of it.METHODOLOGYOur methodology will be active and inclusive. We will encourage our students/teachers to actively participate in all the activities that have been proposed. We think that it is extremely important to let the students learn by themselves, by their own experiences, if we have already given them the right tools. In this way, they will become more independent and critic with the products that they have created. Furthermore, it is important to work with an inclusive methodology to give everybody the chance to participate in the project, no matter what their learning/personal situation might be.RESULTSWe hope to find practical solutions to the problems stated below through consense, hardworking, and in an international way, trying to analize as European citizens what are the best ways to handle difficult situations at schools nowadays. Everybody will benefit from these results, since we will try to make our project extensive to the whole school community and local/regional/national authorities. IMPACTThe impact of our project is also one of the main objectives. Our project will make sense if we make our results and benefits extensive to the School Community and Authorities. We will use as many tools as we can to try to let all our students, teachers and families know everything we have been working on and its results, through the transnational visits and their exposition after each of the trips to our partners (teachers, students, families and authorities)POTENTIAL LONGER TERM BENEFITSThe potential longer term benefits will be ensured in two ways. The students taking part in the project will remain in the school for a couple of years, so we will try and organise activities such as watching videos of the dramatization of the stories, or cultural activities in the transnational visits. Also, the project will last two years, so the project will be present in every action taking part in the school (classes, meetings with students and teachers, meetings with the head masters, families and local authorities to organize the visits, school councils, and so on). Moreover, the teachers participating in the project will remain in the school for a long period of time, so its dissemination in the school community is more than ensured.
Our Management team together with the Erasmus team and the coordinators in every country will be in charge of measuring the impact (trying to be as extensive as possible) and handling the correct dissemination and sustainability, which is what remains after the visits, either transnational or with students.
