Project Summary
Teachers of the School and Kindergarden team have decided to participate in Erasmus plus program, action KA229 to become part of a multicultural society and care for the highest European values. The school is located in a small town where students lack opportunities for interpersonal development, broadening their horizons and knowledge about the culture and traditions of other countries. Taking into account the dynamics of the changing reality, we wanted to contribute to the comprehensive development of our students and promote common values such as freedom, social inclusion, tolerance and non – discrimination through various activities. The participation of students turned out not only to increse the knowledge and skills in the field of traditions and culture of European countries, improve language skills and competences, increase the ability to use ICT tools, but also to improve the quality of school work. The main objectives of the project were: to increse knowledge of the social and educational value of European cultural heritage, and in particular to suport the acquisition of new skills and competences, social inclusion, develop language competences and skills, extension of ICT competences and improving the quality of teaching and learning, imroving teachers’ work skills by applying new solutions and innovative teaching methods. The assumed goals were achieved through the following activities: participation in short – term exchanges of students with teachers, exchange of good practices with teachers from other European school, culinary and art workshops, meeting with experts, museum lessons, visits in local companies, cooperation with local authorities and organizations, foundations and associations and dissemination of knowledge and values resulting from participation in the project. After completing the mobility, students and teachers shared the acquired knwoledge and skills with both the school and local community on various occasions: during didacctic classes, meeting with parents, assembly of the Pedagogical Council, during individual meeting with teachers and contacts with peers and relatives.Participation in the project brought many long – term benefits for the participants, including increasing lingustic and interpersonal skills, teamwork skills and creativity in solving problems in various fields with the conscious use of methods and tools derived from computer science. The enrichment of the workshop with new teaching methods, didactic materials, the implementation of good practices and innovations influenced the European development of the school moreover increased the attractiveness of the school locally and internationally.
