Project Summary

Professional skills of the teachers and administrators working at 7 different schools and educational organizations participating in the TALENTED project from 6 countries such as Turkey, Portugal, Lithuania, Hungary, Italy and Romania have been improved during the 3-year project period, through educational IT technologies training courses and implementations. After the first transnational meeting of the project was held in Romania in 2016 the participants attended Moodle, Smart Boards and Google Classroom, Edmodo, Safe Internet, Schoology, Xerte and Share Point,training courses respectively in Lithuania, Turkey, Romania, Portugal, Italy and Hungary.
The primary objectives listed below have been achieved:
1. Professional skills of the participants working at partner organizations have been improved through the project trainings courses.
2. More efficient teaching environments have been achieved through improving the participants’ professional skills in educational IT technologies.
3. The participants became acquainted with the educational IT technologies, which is expected to lead the way to new ideas and implementations.
4. As a result of gaining new skills and experience in educational IT technologies the participants began to design and implement new dijital educational materials.
5. The participants had the opportunity to personally observe and transfer the educational good practices implemented in partner countries.
6. The participants began to use not only the educational softwares but also they began to use the Web 2.0 tools and other utilities.
7. The participants visited the educational organizations operating in partner countries thus they closely observed the education in different cultures and educational implementations in European countries.
In the TALENTED project, which was implemented under the coordination of Kayseri Provincial Directorate of National Education, a total of 7 organizations participated. Among the partner organizations are the Kayseri Education Culture and Youth Association, which is also operating in Kayseri, and other 5 partner organizations from Lithuania, Italy, Romania, Hungary and Portugal. All of these institutions have extensive knowledge and expertise in educational technologies. In this way, the partner organizations contributed to the project with the information technology trainings they provided to the participants.
Main activities in the project:
– Kaunas Food Industry and Trade Training School, participating in the project from Lithuania, has a deep knowledge and experience in Moodle, a crucial Learning Content Management System. Using this extensive knowledge to provide the participants with Moodle training within the scope of the project increased the professional competence of the participants from all partner organizations. In the same way, all partners transferred their best expertise knowledge to the other participants during the 1-week trainings organized within the scope of the project. Also the other partners from Italy, Kayseri (2 organizations), Romania, Portugal and Hungary followed the same path to transfer their best expertise knowledge and organized training courses respectively on Edmodo, Smart Boards and Google Classroom, Edmodo, Safe Internet and Xerte.Through these training course the professional skills of the participants significantly improved.
– The first kick-off planning project meeting was held in Romania with the participation of 7 organiations.
– Project trainings: Considering their best expertise, 6 partners organized 7 educational IT training courses for the participants.x
– Dissemination Activities: Various dissemination activities were carried out on different platforms such as corporate websites of the partner organizations, social media, national broadcasting media and press, as well as physical dissemination materials and project meetings.
– The Educational IT e-book: The e-book covers the content of educational IT training courses organized as part of the TALENTED project. It is intended to be used in educational organizations and environments within all partner organizations to improve the professional competence of the target audience in this field. The book includes Moodle, Smart Boards, Google Classroom, Edmodo, Schoology, Xerte and Share Point chapters.
– Improved educational IT skills and competencies of the participants from the partner organizations also improved their professional competence and enriched the educational environments within their organizations in terms of digital training materials and implementations..
– Extensive knowledge, experience and the e-book on educational IT technologies are disseminated to be used in all partner countries.
