Project Summary
The “Trio to success” project was realized for 24 months form November 1st 2015 to November 1st 2017. The “Trio to Success” partnership was established by four partner organizations – Stowarzyszenie na Rzecz Spółdzielni Socjalnych, Centrum Doradztwa Zawodowego, Cometa Formazione scs and Vilniaus Rajono Pedagogine Psichologine Tarnyba representing three countries – Poland, Italy and Lithuania.
The main objective of the “Trio to Success” project was to strengthen the quality of the VET systems with a special attention to 1) youth vocational career guidance and counseling, 2) worked based methods of teaching vocational skills and 3) active forms of teaching entrepreneurial and social entrepreneurial skills. The three mentioned above elements (TRIO) were defined by project partners as the most important elements of preparing young people to successful entrance to the labor market (TO SUCCESS) and therefore as the most important components of the VET systems that should be developed and strengthen to ensure high and responding to the needs of labor markets quality of the VET.
The project target group was representatives of VET institutions management (decision makers) and VET counselors, teachers, trainers, pedagogues and youth workers (practitioners). The main project stakeholders were representatives of local authorities, especially those responsible for VET systems, private entrepreneurs, social economy entities and non-governmental organizations. The project indirectly influenced young people in VET systems.
The project objectives were achieved by development of five intellectual outputs that were meant to support VET institutions management and practitioners in implementation of the innovative, attractive for young people and responding to the needs of labor market teaching methods.
1. Counseling scenarios for vocational career counselors and youth workers – set of exercises to be used during the work with young people in such an areas as self-knowledge, flexibility, creativity, social responsibility, positive thinking.
2. Manual of good practices on the work based teaching methods in VET systems that presents innovative VET initiatives and guidelines for their implementation.
3. Entrepreneurial and social entrepreneurial skills guide that presents competences descriptions with methods that can be used at their development.
4. Model of support path of young people in VET systems that presents information on situation of young people on labor market, legal framework of vocational education and training system and legal framework of social economy in partner countries with recommendations on needed changes.
5. Tutorial video that is practical tool to be used be VET practitioners in introducing VET system to young people (counseling and guidance, apprenticeship and other forms of gaining practical skills) and possible paths to entre labor market (employment, self-employment, own business or social economy entity).
The intellectual outputs were developed on the basis of exchange of good practices between project teams during three study visits that were held in Poznań (Poland), Como (Italy) and Vilnius (Lithuania).
The project intellectual outputs were disseminated within dissemination seminars and other activities that were realized by partner organizations among a group of 860 representatives of the project target group and stakeholders.
