Project Summary

Education is the priority across the generations. Now days researches and statistics point out the urgent need to focus the adult education from basic skills including the mathematical and digital skills to the others as well. Development of the digital skills contribute positively the professional opportunities and involvement in the social life.
“Cedefop’s European skills and jobs (ESJ) survey reveals that more than 7 in 10 adult employees in the EU need at least some fundamental ICT level to be able to perform their jobs
“Having sufficient levels of basic skills (literacy, numeracy, science and technology) is essential for young people to smoothly access the labour market and for adults to retain employment in high quality and stable Jobs.” (Euroepan semester thematical fiche skills for the labour market)
“EU priorities on education and training post 2020: “Energy transition, digitalisation, technological change, values and critical thinking are among the main challenges to be tackled. Support for training to adults is an important gain to the individual, the employer and the whole economy. ETUC resolution on digitalisation:. Digital skills are an important leitmotiv to ensure an inclusive transition towards good and fair digital work for all.
Lifelong learning policy includes the adult education as an essential element.
The Council of the European Union “recognizes the key role that adult education can play in achieving the goals of the Lisbon strategy.

AIM:
The project aims to collect, share and disseminate good practices at European level through the training of trainers, who can provide digital skills, particularly in the use of social networks applied to the world of work to disadvantaged adults.
By participating, all participants will be part of a European know-how transfer in the field of digital teaching and learning approaches between the participating adult education centres and various educational institutions.
Objectives:
• To share and collect good practice as a base for the training for trainers
• To establish the training structure for the trainers and educators
• To develop a manual responding to the current lacking ICT and digital skills for adults
• To define the sustainable strategy with on-going effects on the partners, created learning structure and target groups
• To establish network promote, offer and providing the adult education programmes to reach all potential participants
• To increase life quality for the individual and value creation and flexibility in working life
• To train qualified trainers and educators who will implement the programmes and support the adult learners at the risk or exclusion.
Target Groups:
– staff working with adults, adults educators, disadvantaged adults
– representatives of the organisations directly working in the field of adult education
– local authorities, commercial entities, labour market offices and employment centres, professionals linked to the field of adults education in terms of decision making process, researches, information counseling.

Results:
– Manual containing comparative studies in Europe on methods of approach and teaching in the use of ICT for disadvantaged adults
– Theoretical-practical training course for organizations staff on how to relate and approach disadvantaged adults and help them to use digital tools applied to the way of work
– Territorial training events aimed at adult educator. Each partner will organize it on its territory (7 events).
– Territorial training events aimed at disadvantaged adult. Each partner will organize it on its territory (7 events).
Results at the project completation
– Web Platform containing all the material produced during the project, the videos of the lessons conducted during the Territorial training events for adult educator and the Territorial training events for disadvantaged adult.

TRANSNATIONALITY
The transnational partnership brings added value to the achievement of the objectives and brings synergy of exchange of the good practice. This is ensured by on-going daily work during the project at local, regional and national level strengthen through the mobilities and transnational perspective, experience and insight look into the work of the partners in their reality. The focus on the quality of adult learning and education is the opportunity and potential to be implemented by the staff working with adults as a target group. Those empowerments can ensure the success of the educational actions. Personal and organisational commitment creates the environment which can be enriched by the exchange, mutual learning, new methods, experience from different systems and other factors towards the quality innovative educational setting. Quality of adults eduction is highly influenced by the staff education enriched by transnationality.
