Project Summary

USEFUL, USABILITY , DISPOSABILITY (UUD) is a project which addresses the issue of plastic invasion into our communities and households with a purpose to bring the message of a safe and healthy environment closer to the citizens through civic education.
Five organizations used their capabilities and expertise to produce the PlasticsFree multilingual Moodle based e-learning platform with a content capable to support eco – civic events design and organization.
The target groups were the partners’ staff empowered through 2 short term training sessions on how to use the Moodle platform to finally to have in place a course entitled PlasticsFree in 6 versions i.e. English, Bulgarian Italian, Lithuanian, Spanish and Romanian.
The course includes 5 tutorials : a guide for platform users; info-doc about plastic wastes and civics; an art installation showcase; designing socio-civic events; dissemination tools and methods for civic events. Each tutorial includes a lesson, learning tools, practical examples and assignments for learners . A glossary is provided to help learners understand the basic concepts, specific words, definitions related the project .
Follow up is accounted for by project results such as the joint board and a pool of staff capable to use and expand the content of the e-learning platform, disseminate their work and provide support when and if needed to other staff working with different community groups such as children, seniors, disadvantaged people, youth, artists. Further on, four multiplier events brought together professionals from the organizing country and the neighboring parts of Europe where the partners shared the e-learning platform and prepared 9 new project ideas for the next application deadlines of Erasmus + in 2017 and after.
All the work and outcomes are encapsulated on the project website at www.plasticsfree.eu and the EPRP.
The project partners are Asociatia Initiativa Cetatenlor Seniori from Romania – the coordinator , a seniors organization with project management, info-doc expertise and civic background; Inercia Digital from Spain – a company with ICT background; Plastic Food Centro Culturale from Italy- an eco-art organization with experience in land art installations; The European Institute from Lithuania – a socio-civic development organization; and BASD from Bulgaria – community development, networking and dissemination.
