Project Summary
The background of this project is the school partnership among the three schools in Drammen, Arnstadt and Stadtroda. This partnership has been in existence for over 20 years and needs to be sustained. Additionally, it should be expanded and deepened through a good professional and study orientation in the participating countries.
Further aims are a high level of media literacy, as well as the improvement of foreign language skills in German and English, which will help to promote optimal occupational development.
Among the selected methods for implementing the project are the application of modern information and communication techniques – including communication on the eTwinning platform – seminars, lectures, visits to job centers, universities and important companies in the respective regions during the mobilities, and small projects between the mobilities.
Target group of the project are secondary-level students of both grammar schools in Germany (15-19 years) as well as the students of the partner school in Norway who are of the same age, preferably those who already attend German courses. There will be a total of 42 students and 9 supervisors from both countries.
Participants in the project will be well placed to apply for vocational training or college in other European countries. They will be able to improve their foreign language skills and handle new digital media safely.
The project results will be presented internally in showcases in the schools and will also be made available to students for their seminar term papers. Compiled results can be viewed in the school libraries and will be published on the homepages of the participating schools. The participants will present results of the jointly developed projects to teachers, students and parents in lectures. Results will also appear on the eTwinning platform and will be made available to other European schools.
