Project Summary

Unresponsible water consumption can lead to a crisis that will affect billions of people in the future. Considering all these facts, we have taken on the task of changing people’s relationships with water, and we want to instill this into young minds that will become adults of tomorrow. We ask our students to turn the subject upside down and upside down, to learn about the water accepted by our ancestors, and the way we use it today, and the impacts of irresponsible consumption for the future of humanity. We want them to be active advocates and promoters of responsible water use, to launch local campaigns “Save water for your children”, to analyze people’s behavior towards water in their local communities and to share them with our partners. Also, throughout the project, we wish to make a plan to turn our schools into water-friendly schools and enable local authorities to implement this plan to various institutions in our regions, so we believe we can really make a difference in the end. Small drops like this will become an ocean.
All 5 partner schools are conveniently located near water resources. It means that water is a very vital and existing issue in our societies. However, we observed that people are getting more and more away from environmental problems, as everyday problems sometimes make us forget about really important things in life.
We will work both locally and internationally in the project, to share findings from local research, to exchange ideas and experiences and to interact with foreign peers, to learn from each other. The collaboration will take place in face-to-face meetings during eTwinning and learning / teaching / training activities.
C1 – Water in the past – literature, art, folk tales
C2 – Water and health – Biology, physical education perspectives.
C3 – Water Science – Geography, Mathematics, Science
C4 – Water and the future – excessive consumption, pollution. Eco-campaigns
C5 – Making the schools sustainable water consumers (joint staff training activity)
We have set the following specific objectives:
1. To increase the knowledge of students in scientific, cultural, literary and artistic aspects from at least 60%.
2. To increase students’ awareness of the importance of water for humanity – min. We want to achieve this in 70% of students.
3. Help students identify common problems related to water scarcity and personalize them according to their local context
4. Encouraging students’ civil participation in ecological issues and strengthening the school’s role in the local community
5. to develop students’ soft skills, creativity and cultural awareness
We will ensure that people from all categories of schools participate in our project both directly and indirectly.
Our students will be our main actors in local and transnational activities. The age range of our students who will take part in exchanges is 12-14. 120 students from C1-C4 and 6 students from each sending school / exchange will participate. These students will be accompanied by 2 teachers. The accompanying teachers will be determined by the subject of the change. In addition to their role of supervising children.
We have already successfully collaborated in the preparation of the application and we will continue doing so. Our 5 partners agreed to share responsibilities in all main activities of the project.
The Project management and the communication – all partners will appoint project teams to manage the project based on the key people they have included and other needs to be addressed at the beginning of the project.
Monitoring and evaluation – each school monitors activities at online management meetings to find common solutions and reports on possible delays or problems.
Selection and preparation – all partners choose students and teachers according to the criteria agreed at the beginning of the project.
Local activities – teachers coordinate students’ work for outputs that we need to produce and share before and after each transnational activity.
Follow-up – all teams have a spread that is responsible for organizing the dissemination activity, identifying resources for it, and making the project visible to the local community, at least through the activities specified in the application form.
Each partner organizes a transnational activities: C1 – Italy (February 2021), C2 – Poland (May 2021), C3 – Greece (October 2021), C4 – Romania (February 2022), C5 – Turkey (May 2022)
The project will benefit and positively affect all schools.
First of all, it will improve and strengthen the relationship between teachers, students and parents. Parents will assist students in the process of conducting surveys, host foreign students and assist the school in other activities. In this way, we believe that this good cooperation will continue after the project period.
