Project Summary

Our project „World Population Day” was inspired from the day established by UNO and celebrated on the 11th of July in the whole world every year. Our purpose is to create activities maintaining its main ideas: leadership and implication of the young generation, migration, urbanization, the equality between men and women and human rights.
One of the main concepts which led us to the creating of this project is that Europe cannot develop itself when ignoring what happens in the rest of the world.
Its purposes are:
To let everybody starting with the students to the whole community) know about this special day and organize activities according to its principles;
To underline the importance of the principles sustained by this special day;
To develop a better relationship between the European countries and the rest of the world.
The participants are 3 high schools from France, Portugal and Greece and 3 colleges from Romania, Spain and France.
The workshops organized for the students will have the title: “A young migrant is talking to a young European….”. Each country will choose a theme together with its students according to this concept and it will create activities revealing the importance of implication, action and education in the modern world. In order to show these activities to the whole world, the sessions will be accomplished by short videos, posters, photos that will be shown on the 11 of July 2019 and 2020. The students and their teachers will write articles on this subject which will be seen on the eTwinning, on the site of the project (http://11-07.fr/) and on the paper version of the project( Carnet 11-07).
This project has its origins on a Comenius project down 2010. Eight years later, around 30 establishments in the world celebrate this day. This project Erasmus plus will be a part in this wide group of countries that celebrate this day with special activities.
