Project Summary

Entrepreneurs play a vital role in job creation and providing opportunities to young people. However, entrepreneurs and typically young entrepreneurs face many challenges in building and growing their enterprise. The lack of skills, network and financing in particular are major obstacles.

The Project aims to provide entrepreneurial trainings and international development support for youth entrepreneurship organizations and young entrepreneurs, with a focus on India, Kenya and the Philippines. The Project focuses on improving the investment readiness of young entrepreneurs, increasing public awareness of the challenges faced by young entrepreneurs and stimulating partnerships and collaboration to support youth entrepreneurship at a wider scale.

The Project features the development of an online training program for entrepreneurship trainers on delivering a curriculum to teach entrepreneurs on creating an early-stage company financing plan, a range of activities such as training, meetings and pitching events organized for local young entrepreneurs, and a global youth entrepreneur award and leadership training for a group of
international entrepreneurs selected from the national and global competitions organized by CYFI.

The Project is powered by the Ye! Community (www.yecommunity.com) – an initiative by Child and Youth Finance International. Ye! is an online platform for young entrepreneurs that provides country business guides, SME business tools, an online entrepreneur community, coaching and funding opportunities to entrepreneurs aged 16 to 30 from around the world.
