Project Summary

Students from Barcelona, Berlin, Krakow, Rome and Tallinn published the European Student Magazine “Yeurope Times” together. The young people come in a dialogue about topical and important issues from their point of view.
Starting from everyday questions and problem issues that play a role in all countries or concern young people in all countries they reflect about their present – and even more importantly – about their future, e.g. culture and lifestyle, refugee and migration issue, the climate change and sustainability or political challenges confronting our democracies.
During the editorial meetings in a different town the students got the possibility to learn more about the lifestyle and everyday life as well as get to know more about the attitude and thinking of young people in other countries.
The project has been particularly appropriate here. The joint transnational work taught them competences and skills in communication and social interaction. By an intercultural dialogue awareness raised about European diversity. But It enabled the young people to understand that the problems and questions are often the same.
Every edition of the student magazine “Yeurope Times” has another main topic. Starting from their lifeworld the young people ask: “How does the EU affect our everyday life?”, “How do we face the refugee issue?” “What can we do against the cimate change” and how can we live sustainably” or “What do we expect from the future?”
The main topics are completed by other sections of the magazine: “countries and politics”, “culture and sciences”, “leisure and entertainment”.
We hope to continue the with the online version of the magazine after the end of this project.

Every edition of the “Yeurope Times” is published as a print version but it is also possible to read the student magazine online by websites or on your smartphone by the “Yeurope Times” app.
