Project Summary

“Young Entrepreneurs Sustaining the Earth” (YES: The Earth) is a project dedicated to cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices between schools. The project covers the topics of Entrepreneurial Learning – Entrepreneurship Education, Environment and Climate change, ICT – New Technologies – Digital Competences, Social Inclusion and Sustainability.
The most relevant priorities addressed by the project are:
1. Promoting the acquisition of skills and competences,
2. Promoting entrepreneurship education and social entrepreneurship among young people,
3. Sustainable investment, performance and efficiency.
The objectives of the project are:
– to build entrepreneurial skills;
– to raise students’ awareness of their character and abilities;
– to improve their ICT and STEAM skills while working on various projects;
– to raise attainment of under-achieving students;
– to build innovative learning ecosystems, promoting the takeup of practical entrepreneurial experiences in education;
– to promote the responsible use of digital technology and strengthening the capacity of formal and non-formal education systems to provide students with entrepreneurial and innovative skills, attitudes and values to make it possible for them to tackle the issues;
– to develop the English Language skills at all schools;
– to build 21st century skills and lateral thinking;
– to help students’ take their future into their own hands to shape an inclusive and sustainable Europe, stimulating their creative potential, inspiring them to take action on challenges of sustainability and helping our students to become ‘entrepreneurs of their own lives’.
The project is based mainly on creating a value for young people. If young people can be empowered to take initiative and seize opportunities, they may stand a better chance of successful participation in the labour market that includes a number of challenges and within the competitive economy and in society as active citizens as well as managing their lives in an increasingly complex world. When learning is successful in equipping young people with entrepreneurial knowledge, skills and attitudes, enabling them to act upon opportunities and ideas turn them into value (youth entrepreneurship), this contributes to combating youth unemployment, social exclusion and addressing other societal challenges and to build more sustainable societies and economies.
