Project Summary

YouTrain – fresh video for non-formal education!

IN A NUTSHELL
We produced video tutorials on general considerations in non-formal education, on specific methods in non-formal education, as well as an interactive manual on how to produce video tutorials yourself. CONTEXT
Non-Formal education is being more and more used inside and outside of youth work, and the search for methods and tools that any trainer or youth worker can use, is increasing. There are already some toolboxes like the ones by SALTO, but those platforms are very text-based in describing the methods and tools. Responding to the growing trend and preference of learners to watch video tutorials for acquiring new competences, as well as to bring in an innovative and sustainable approach in the training of trainers and educators, this strategic partnership project aimed at producing video tutorials on methods and considerations in non-formal education.

In the big picture, we want to contribute to quality in youth work and education by providing an efficient, innovative and open tool for the development of competences of trainers and educators.

AIM
Our main aim is to:
-> Promote non-formal education and raise the quality and impact in education and youth work by providing free access to visual learning tools of methods and exercises to youth workers, educators and other people interested, so it can be used to design and facilitate group activities for young people and other learners.

OBJECTIVES

2) Support new trainers and facilitators by presenting in visual way methods and exercises of NFE.
3) Use ICT tools to facilitate learning competences of non-formal education methods and exercises
4) Increase the level of digital competence among youth workers and educations and encourage them to use more digital tools in their work
