Project Summary

This project is more than an educational program. During this project students learn at school, at home, in their own region and in another European country. Students share (in classes, in pairs, in families and in an exchange group) experiences in eachothers lifes and in eachothers environments. This project includes big themes as climate change, energy transitions and environmental problems, it includes lessons at both schools, projects at both schools, but also implementing changes at the schools, for example the use of renewable energy by solar panels or changes in everyday habits. It’s about European citizenship and all things that makes life worth living! We make the students aware of the importance of keeping Europe, The Netherlands and Italy as beautifull as it is for the future generations.
The participating students will be aware of the serious environmental problems due to climate change and will know what to do to prevent and to solve the problems in Italie and The Netherlands, more specific what their influence can be in their own regions. They will know that climate change is a common (worldwide) problem, they can not ignore.
With this international exchange we make them more aware of the bigger picture and we hope they will be the catalyst for many other students to start with preventing the climate change by change habits in the everyday life.
We want the activities to be a confrontation for the students so they really see the impact of climate change. We also want to stimulate the problem solving capacity of the students, what can they do? They learn to communicate at a higher level. The problems are nog just at local scale but also at the international level.

On the field of language skills, students of both schools have to use (and improve) the english language to communicate
