Project Summary
This project “Me and you on equal terms” is based on the fundamental principle that “women rights are human rights”. It aims at reinforcing the role of women and girls in society, through specific appropriate educative and training interventions, taking care of sharing and enhancing gender equality at any age and in every context.
CONTEXT AND BACKGROUND OF PROJECT:
This project aims at overcoming the rigid culture of separation about woman and man roles, that limits girls and boys’ choices as regards their future on the basis that, traditionally, some activities and studies have been considered, suitable for male and others for female; and, consequently, this project addresses the priorities defined on the 13th of February 2020 by the European Parliament, during the 64th session of United Nations Commission on Status of Women(UNCSW64).
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:
We aim at achieving the following process objectives linked both to the strategic priorities and to the topics of the LLT – and related both to educative-didactic area and to managerial and organizational practices:
– Fostering and supporting equal opportunities between boy and girl in the educational offer at school in every disciplinary area;
– Encouraging the development of a welcoming and open minded mentality, functional to the full enhancement and acceptance of gender diversity in social, cultural and economic contexts.
-Tackling phenomenons of discrimination that lead to school failure and school drop-out .
Educational objectives aimed at learning for students:
– Acquiring balanced gender relations;
– Acquiring suitable tools in order to reflect and interpret, correctly, gender stereotypes.
– Stimulating a reflection about roles and gender stereotypes and how stereotypes can limit life projects.
– Increasing the level of motivation to study.
– Increasing of culture of legality and of gender identity.
NUMBER AND PROFILES OF PARTICIPANTS:
In each transnational mobility three students and three accompanying persons will take part, except for the kick off meeting in which only teachers and headmasters will be involved. All the students – belonging to the different kinds and grades of schools – will take part, actively, to the realization of the project activities and to its implementation, throughout the Erasmus corner and the Twin Space (pages and forum) . In the transnational mobilities the oldest students will be involved and they will be chosen on the basis of shared criteria.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES:
Each LTT will be functional to develop teachers and students’ skills and competences . In each Ltt there will be a specific structured activity for students and a selftraining activity for teachers (shared with the other school partners). In each mobility digital tools will be used in order to make accesible the partecipation and exchange among students and teachers. The first mobility is the kickoff meeting; the second LTT is about the topic of invisible women; the third LTT is about women and sport; the fourth LTT is about gender-based violence ;the fifth meeting is about women and literature: friendship and love in myth and literature; the sixth is about the topic of women and Stem.

2. Cooperative Learning : to foster and develop interpersonal relationships, and to help students to debate and discuss .
3. Role Play: to encorauge students to empathises, by taking on different roles functional to understanding of different perspectives.
4. Case study

RESULTS AND IMPACT
As a consequence of project implementation and of sharing of best practices we aim to achieve the following results:
– Increasing level of awareness about the presence of multiple identities in each of us and in the same time of a collective identity that trascends individual, cultural, ethnic, religious differences, within the framework of universal values such as justice, equality, dignity and respect.
– reinforcing of digital and linguistic competences for teachers and students
— networking of schools which will promote collaboration and sharing of best practices for an effective gender equality.
-strenghtening of the collaboration among all actors within schools, as well as with families. and external stakeholders
LONG-TERM BENEFITS
The strengthening of teachers and students’ competences and the development and sharing of good practices will be the baseline to set out other goals to achieve through the planning of further didactic plans that will foster the development of the involved schools in the long term. So, on the basis of the outcomes achieved in this project, in each school partner the school programmes will be updated in order to implement the gender equality in the educational offer of the school partners.
