Project Summary

Our project “Be Supportive Mindful Active Responsible Tolerant” is based on Interdisciplinary learning and Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence Theory and composed of 5 educational institutions from different countries (Lithuania, Turkey, Romania, North Macedonia and Poland) with 2927 children aged between 6-18 and 144 teachers with different experiences, knowledge, and beliefs, but with common objectives.

We intend to apply Interdisciplinary Teaching and Multiple Intelligence Theory and improve our students’ multidimensional thinking skills, show them different ways to learn a subject, encourage them to transfer their abilities to different real situations they come across in life. By acquainting, collaborating and working in school community, learning to learn competences will be raised. Implementing project activities we also hope to reduce and hopefully abolish stereotypes and prejudices about others nations, religions, etc. Teachers participating in the project activities will develop understanding of pedagogical styles used across Europe, share pedagogical tools, methods and examples of good practice. Schools will exchange the best educational practices, increase their visibility and become more attractive for their nowadays and future students.

We will involve over 3000 participants including all the representatives of school community- students, teachers, parents, staff. The other participants of the project involved in it in one or another way will be administration, local community, local government, local businessman, educational centers, museums, educators from other schools. Activities during the project will be added to the school timetable and curriculum so the implementation of the project will be supported by all staff.

For the achievement of the project objectives we will implement Interdisciplinary Learning and Multiple Intelligence approaches in four main areas that we have identified with our partners. These areas are Languages (native and foreign), Math, Science and History. Our project activities will be based on the creation of learning environments that include interdisciplinary and multi-intelligence activities together integrated into the school curriculum. In addition to this, some extra curricular activities will be included which will cover different intelligence areas and increase the knowledge about partner countries, their history, nature, culture, traditions. There will be LTT meetings of students and teachers will lead to the reduction of prejudice, to the growing interest in learning about other countries’ lifestyles and traditions, will be motivation to learn and use foreign languages, to travel and get to know other European countries and cultures.

Student centered approaches will be used when implementing the project activities. And as a necessity of our age, education technology including Web 2.0 tools, STEM and coding activities will be integrated to the progress to facilitate learning. Learning environments will be structured in a way to encourage team work, thus promoting cooperative approach in education and active leadership among students. Students will be motivated to work in groups, to learn how to plan their own work and divide tasks, how to collaborate and evaluate their own work.

The assessment will take place during all the project period and different assessment tools will be used to evaluate the assessment of the project and its objectives before, during and after the project. When assessing we will use internal and external assessment approaches. Internal assessment will cover diagnostic, formative and summative assessment methods together.

The project results will be disseminated as wide as possible. In order to reach as many people as possible, we will use many different communication materials and we will disseminate the project outcomes in all native languages of the partner countries and in English. All project results will be published on school’s websites, project’s web blog, social media pages of the schools as well as Etwinning platform and Erasmus+ Project Results Platform, ensuring availability to others. The partner schools will work together on eTwinning platform Twinspace, develop the activities and create new tasks even after the end of the EU funding.

Students will continue to develop international relations and improve communication and English skills with their peers from different European countries. With this project we will provide young students an ability to get known to different cultures, languages and lifestyles, understand and respect them. We think that it is important to raise our students with the right social and global behaviors for the integrity and development of Europe.
