Project Summary
Project be-com is being implemented by 5 institutions: 4 universities (from Poland, Lithuania, Malta and Cyprus) and one NGO. Partners are endowed with the necessary profiles and professionals who will guarantee the relevant experience and expertise to successfully deliver on the various aspects of the project. The partnership has the necessary skills and competences to ensure that the work programme can be implemented efficiently and effectively, i.e. on time and budget, with appropriate qualitative and quantitative levels.
Project be-com tests and implements innovative practices in the field of higher education. The target groups of the project are academic teachers and students of humanities and science of the involved partner’s institutions. Both groups indicate the need to modernize teaching methods and improve digital and communication skills. In response to the indicated needs, the project assumed the following objectives:
Main objective: Strengthening the cooperation between 5 partners’ institutions in the area of teaching communication skills and increasing their internationalization through working out and disseminating new educational tools and exchange of good practices.
The specific objectives:
– Promotion of the idea of the use of ICTs and open educational resources in education at the higher education level
– Enhancing the quality and relevance of students’ knowledge from 4 European universities taking part in testing and evaluation
– Equipping academic teachers from 4 partner universities with modern didactic tools for students, responding to the needs of the modern labour market
The project activities consist of the following blocks:
– joint work of out of four intellectual outputs (Digital toolbox – Effective communication in the 2.0 era, Digital toolbox – secure communication in the era of web 2.0, Handbook – How to communicate in the era of web 2.0?, Educational strategic game based on the action mapping concept and the idea of gamification)
– 2 3-days long learning visits for academic staff (Malta, Cyprus)
– dissemination events and other dissemination activities
– management
The project assumes that the created course will have a utilitarian and universal character, it will be available to students of various fields of study, as well as by the secondary school students and teachers. Thanks to the involvement of partners from different countries and of different educational systems, we have an opportunity to collect different experiences and good practices at the end of the projects the outputs will have a universal, European dimension and they could be used not only in the partner countries. International cooperation will ensure a multicultural nature of the exchange of good practices, taking into account didactic experiences of universities from different regions of Europe.
