Call for participation survey on approaches to leadership development & institutional transformation in Higher Education

As part of the EU-funded NEWLEAD project (2020-2023), EUA has launched a survey about leadership develeopment and institutional transformation in higher education

Given the pace and intensity of transformations in our societies and invariably in our universities, institutional leadership has truly become a game-changer, even more so during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, Europe offers little provision of leadership development schemes in higher education, such as capacity-building programmes and training meant to enhance the leadership skills of current and future higher education leaders.

As part of the EU-funded NEWLEAD project (2020-2023), EUA has launched a survey about leadership development and institutional transformation in higher education. Respondents will contribute to the development of core principles, priorities and processes of change and crisis management in higher education. The deadline to participate is 31 March 2021.

The NEWLEAD project consortium will work towards capacity building for higher education leaders, which will be a key enabler to support such post-pandemic institutional adaptation and transformation. The first step in the work is this survey, which should be filled out by senior university executives (rectors and vice-rectors, directors of central services, as well as academic leaders such as deans).
