Project Summary

The basic objectives of the projects are explicit in their title, we want on the one hand to foster in our students a concept of citizenship based on responsibility towards consumption as a means of individual improvement and achieving a greater environmental and social balance. On the other hand, we want to demonstrate to our students that the option of a development model based on sustainability is not only necessary but also a possible option sought from European institutions and made from numerous experiences throughout the EU. The project contains 6 centres of different and contrasted geographic areas (south, center and north of Europe) and levels of socioeconomic development.
The methodology of the project is based on the constant presence iof the campaigns related to the topics worked on in the centres. It is the way we consider to transform the consciences of our students, their families and the political and social environment of the associated centers. In relation to this methodology, the project will include a whole series of materials designed to implement this constant presence with exhibitions, posters, presentations, videos, digital educational material (surveys, tests, games …). The methodology aims at developing creativity and capacity to organize activities in the participating students.
Our objective is that the project has an impact on all the students of the associated centres, extending it to the families, modifying their habits positively and creating a citizen conscience in balance with the environment and everything in school environment besides influencing the extent possibly to the municipal administrations in aspects related to the project.
We understand that the benefits of the project should be manifested in the short term, during the impact of the project will be long term when the changes in the our students’ conscience will manifest with greater intensity in their future lives. We are aware that we are planting the seeds of more responsible citizens for the future of Europe.
