Project Summary
Our goal is a common vision of the education of the future, showing new ways which, according to the participants, education should go. Organisations which take part in the project have one thing in common: they try to realize this vision in practice in their respective countries. They are united by individual approach to students needs, planning their education with the help of personalmentors in a personalized way, which means that we try to envisage different goals for different students with different needs. We give them the right to choose as far as the forms of activity are concerned. We walk away from traditional way of managing the school and use technology for communication and organisation of work.Project team includes five persons from each country: the Netherlands, Poland and Spain. They are teachers, specialists and management team. Their goal is to look closely at the similarities and differences of the educational vision realized in particular countries. Later on we want to present them at an international conference and in national workshops, addressed to our current and future collaborators. The results of the team’s cooperation will be video reports from international project meetings. These will be organized as study visits showing the most interesting features of work organisation, methods used in schools run by partner organisations, and the possible obstacles or legal constraints. We also plan to establish an Englishlanguage website (with versions in national languages), which will present a common vision of the education of the future. The site will be illustrated by photos and films from schools run by partner organisations (making the video reports will be supported by one technician). Each country has different regulatory and curricular realities in force. The individual organisations have their achievements and specifics. For example the hallmark of the Dutch organisation are technological solutions – software which helps in better management of the school. Polish organisation is distinguished by personalized learning, including the solutions which help students with disabilities to join the community of their healthy colleagues. Polish organisation also established the solutions which help student with different particular talents and interests to deepen them much efficiently than in the case of traditional organisation of work. The project should also answer the question how these experiences can be utilized and how they can be followed – directly or as an inspiration – in different schools in different countries. The common goal of partner organisations is to inspire the search for new ways in education, to delineate these ways and to help moving along them. We assume that materials worked out in the project will be useful in different schools and countries, while in the partner organisations they will lead to deeper reflection and perfecting their own organisation of work. The may also provide the basis for further projects tightening cooperation in implementing the common vision of the education of the future.
