Project Summary

Students at the tecnical programme at Rinmangymnasiet don’t need to study a modern language apart from English in order to get their diploma when finishing Upper Secondary School. However studying a modern language like Spanish, French or German is encouraged by the Swedish Board of Education.

Taking part in this Erasmus project will enhance the students’ motivation and interest in learning modern languages as well as developing their cultural understanding and improving their skills within the courses in technology. Furthermore cooperation in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM) can be promoted.
Circular economy has seen a significant increase in interest over the past few years. A good life is no longer achieved by producing more goods. We need to share, rent and recycle, working towards a sustainable economy. We need to teach the younger generation to change their views and attitudes now. As educators , teachers play a big role in leading this movement forward. By teaching the younger generation the movement will spread locally from small scale to large scale businesses and finally globally.

The aims of the EU commission are to meet the needs of present generations without jeopardizing the ability of future generations to meet their needs. With this project we will contribute to attain a sustainable development with concrete actions involving the students and the community. We are planning to create a Web Page, organize meetings with the community and City Council and encourage theatre performances and exhibitions. Twenty-one students from each school between the ages of 13 and 17 are involved in the project and can visit the participating countries.

The teacher’s role is to lead the students in making interviews, finding good concrete examples in society, cooperating with other students etc.The students who remain in their home country will take part in the activities as well, which means the school as such is involved in the project. The main aims would be to do away with waste and pollution and through effective design keep products and materials in use in order to regenerate natural systems.

We would also like to foster entrepreneurship, generating business and economic opportunities which provide envirionmental and social benefits.
