Project Summary
Objectives – the following objectives have been accomplished at a very large scale:
– students have been enabled to develop creative and manual skills when designing and creating fashion (handbags, shoes, jewellery and other accessoires, belts etc.)
– students have learnt about technical and scientific requirements of jobs and research in the field of textile engineering both theoretically and practically
– students have increased awareness and understanding of how to develop a product in creative terms
– students have increased awareness of how to develop a product in business terms; entrepreneurial awareness thanks to local shoemakers and fashion designers: costs of materials; time of production; possible customers: local and worldwide:
– students have learnt about possible education and qualification in the field of textile designing and engineering, particularly in the regions where both schools are located.
– students have been enabled to develop language skills thanks to the exchange links between the two schools
– students have been enabled to develop and refine both tolerance, mutual understanding and cultural awareness thanks to the exchange links between the two schools
– students have been enabled to make interviews and film scenes for the video documentary
– students have been enabled to cut and design a video documentary
– Both schools have created public awareness for their school profile as an Erasmus-School.
Objectives – the following objectives have been accomplished at a fairly large scale:
– students have been enabled to present the activities and results to both participants, the school’s community and the local area.

– fashion shows + panel discussion
Number and profile of participants
Pupils were between 14 and 16 years old. About 48 pupils – German and English – participated in the project work.
– 2 groups of about 24 pupils on both the German and the English side – twice: in 2018/19 and 2019/20
– 1 group of about 4 pupils who were in charge of the video documentary
Teaching staff and others from outside school:
– about 5 main participants from staff who were in charge of organisation and monitoring
– about 11 creative, entrepreneurial and scientific figures offering their expertise – 1 local shoemaker, 2 fashion makers, 1 university professor incl. 3 persons from her staff, 2 museum guides, 2 art teachers
Activities – the following activities were done
– workshops with creative professionals
– exchange visits
– trips to museums
– trips to places of manufacture
– exhibition preparation and display

– fashion magazine (printed + website)
– fashion show + panel discussion

– exchange visits
– pair work, individual work and group work in workshops
– discussion with experts as a part of workshops
– creation of young fashion with new designs
