Project Summary
According to the document EUROPE 2020, a European strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, one of the most prominent targets are environment-related topics.
This project is focused on creating new participatory learning methods, new learning materials, and international knowledge sharing in the field of “Environmentally sustainable development”.
Project “Creative Youth for Sustainable Environment” is focused on strengthening and empowerment of organizations who have needed tools and methodology and are ready to bring innovations in order to train and strengthen the capacities of youth from high schools, faculties, and civil societies organizations with which they usually work. Two main objectives of this project are:
1. Strengthen the competencies of partner organizations through the creation of innovative methodology, international exchange of knowledge, international training courses and the creation of new, integrated practical learning materials from the field of “Environmental sustainable development. Organizations will come out of this project with new experiences, knowledge, and materials that they will be able to transfer directly to a larger number of youth.
2. To increase competencies, knowledge, and skills of youth in order to be more active and effective in the area of environmentally sustainable development in their communities. Youth with new practical skills and knowledge are going to be drivers for new successful trends that are in line with the highest European ecological standards. In addition, acting locally, they can enrich their local community with their work and become an important stakeholder in them.
As a result of the project activities, four (4) innovative e-learning modules are developed by the four partner organizations in the following fields: Sustainable tourism, sustainable agriculture within urban surroundings, Business applications of sustainable agriculture/ supply and demand, Implementation of environmental campaigns. Staff members of partner organizations will strengthen their competencies through four international training courses. At least 100 youth from 4 partner’s countries will raise capacities and will acquire knowledge through e-learning courses in the field of environmentally sustainable development. Apart from their new potential, they will build self-confidence and will have practical skills and competencies in the field of environmentally sustainable development. Youth will strengthen their capacities and gain knowledge and skills that they can later apply in their local communities and their future professions.
The motivation of the organizations involved in this project is related to the long term exchanging methodologies, instruments and best practices in the field of „Environmentally sustainable development“ with different European regions. Young people with new practical skills and knowledge are going to be drivers for new successful trends that are in line with the highest European ecological standards. In addition, acting locally, they can enrich their local community with their work and become an important stakeholder in them.
