Project Summary
Game is one of the cultural elements allowing traditions and customs to be transfered to the new generations. At the same time,it is an instrument improving the mental capacity of the individual and providing a concept of the the outsider world ,reflecting inner feelings and socializing. The disappearance of traditional children’s games that is one of the values of intangible cultural heritage, causes the growth of children and young people who have lost themselves in popular culture, broken their ties with the past and the future and not giving importance to spiritual and cultural values. As a result of project analysis specific to all partner schools ,it is observed that our students are far from socializing, not participating in social activities and group work, and having problems in peer communication. One of the tasks of the schools is to transfer the cultural heritage to students unable to learn all the dimensions of cultural heritage in everyday life, and to give responsibility to them in sustaining the world heritage.
AIM: Through the participation of students, teachers and families in partner schools , to cooperate for keeping alive ,preservation, implementation and dissemination of traditional games starting from pre school ,to develop national and international rapprochement, to contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage along with cultural integration.
By means of sharing traditional children’s games, it is aimed to contribute to the strengthening of social ties by transferring these games to education and training programs using innovative and collaborative methods by students and teachers, providing foreign language development and effective communication skills.
There will be two categories of participants selection, the ones participating in mobilities and another in local activities , process will be carried out by the commission that schools will establish in their own scope.Students will be selected among the age levels of pre school (3 to 6 years), primary education (7 to 15 years) and secondary education (15 to 19 years), and 5 students from each partner school will participate in each mobility.Pre-school students will only participate in local activities. Teachers’participation will be in the form of 2 teachers for each mobility from each partner school. Local participation of the project will be ensured by student and family participation at all levels.
Four mobilities will be realised in the project. Each partner school will conduct local activities simultaneously, both before and after these mobilities.. Local activities will be held for preparation of pre-mobility game cards and playgrounds and for local implementations after the mobilities.
The first mobility activity was held in Slovenia and traditional games of each partner country were shared at primary level. The second action was held in Romania, games of all ages were shared, and Traditional Game Festival was organized. The third action was held in Latvia and games of secondary education were played. Last mobility made to Turkey and the pre-school level, allowing the sharing of traditional games Traditional Children’s Games Festival was held.
To provide the children and youngsters expressing themselves better and preparing them for the social life better, informal and non-formal learning methods will be used.
*The project activities and results will serve to the priority of increase the social and educational value of European cultural heritage and contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage by ensuring traditional games to be alive and survive.
* Convenient to traditional games, areas and materials will be developed serving to the priority of increasing the skills and competences.
* Sensitivity to intercultural differences between project partner schools will increase, collective sense of belonging to school and society will develop.

The final beneficiaries of the project are children and young people from pre-school to the secondary level who are trapped between the four walls by developing technology, whose communication within the family is almost disappearing and who will ensure transferring cultural heritage values to the next generation. These students constitute the most important target group to benefit from the project in the long term and to transfer children’s games that is one of he the cultural heritage values to future generations.
