Project Summary

The title of this Strategical Partnership is “Developing and Sharing Adults´Language Teachers´ (e)Skills” of duration of 18 month with the aim to Exchange of Good Practices. There are three language teaching institutions, from Estonia Multilingua Language Center, Latvia The LatInSoft Training Centre and Spain EOI Estepa and Lusófona University from Portugal involved in this project and the main focus of the project is on language teachers´development. The Coordinator of the partnership, Multilingua Language Center from Estonia is responsible for monitoring the overall project progress and implementation in order to ensure that all project outcomes are produced according to the approved work plan and budget.

The main objectives of the Strategic Partnership are the following:

-Teachers´ Development through Exchange of Good Practices with the help of four International Training Courses carried out in all participating countries: Portugal (Focus on Digital Skills), Latvia (Focus on Erasmus+ Courses), Spain (Language Methodology) and Estonia (Coaching Integrating into Teaching and Final Project Event).
-Digital skills as an integrated part of curriculum in theory and practice: The changes of curriculum will be made according to the CEFR Companion Volume with new descriptors.
-Creation of Erasmus+ Teachers Development Course by each partner organization
-Intercultural Dialogue between the participating countries from Nord and South
-Internationalization of Adult Education in the field of language learning is one important objective of our project.

The expected outcomes of the Strategic Partnership are the following:

-Teachers´ Development with Digital and Distance Teaching Skills and Language Methodology
-Collection of Guidelines of the most important online resources to use for language teachers to make distance language teaching more effective
– Each participating institution of the project will create an Erasmus+ Teachers´Development Course as a result of the partnership.
-Development of curriculum will be in theory and practice: Digital teaching skills and resources will be integrated into the current curriculum. Changes will be made according to the CEFR Companion Volume with new descriptors
-The intercultural competences and cultural awareness of the teachers will rise through the international teamwork.
-Teachers´ Working Motivation will rise
-Networking with partner institutions
-Internationalization of adult education in the field of language learning
-Satisfaction of Adult Language Learners due to the improved quality of lessons both in the traditional or virtual classroom

Impact of the Strategical Partnership

At the local, regional, national level:

– Having opportunities of working together and sharing ideas and experiences.
– Improvement on ICT and foreign language skills.
– Promoting the quality of Education.
– Providing Educational development with the participating institutions in Europe and add the European dimension to Education.
– Learning multicultural diversity.
– Learning the International and global cultural values.
– Providing opportunity of equality.
– Making comparison with the different educational system, new teaching methods and shaping new curricula.

At European and International level:
– Raising awareness of Multicultural shape of Europe.
– Developing a positive approach to European countries and European Union.
-Developing innovative and different to digital education.
-The rise of EU projects and encouraging them in order to unite European citizens.

Dissemination

The partner organizations will ensure the dissemination of the results of the project to these stakeholders in a local and national level. There is already a well elaborated dissemination plan that will be further refined during the startup of the project. All partners will contribute to the further development and implementation of the dissemination plan and activities. The dissemination progress will also outline a roadmap in order to present the outputs in conferences, network events, and workshops in national and international level, reaching the highest amount of stakeholders possible. The main purpose will be to inform, raise awareness and acquire feedback on project outputs. The Final Conference in January 2022 will be organized by Multilingua Language Center and it will be one of the most important Dissemination Events of the Project.

Work in an International project team leads to mutual understanding and increasing interest towards the Other, and this confirms the idea of tolerance between nations with different cultures and different social conditions, enables experimenting new pedagogical practices that will have a lasting and meaningful impact on students. Contacts to be established with partners from different European countries will be the basis for a future fruitful cooperation for new projects.
