Project Summary
The Strategic Partnership project of civic associations from four countries of the European Union supported the creation of an innovative educational program for the unemployed under 29 with low skills or low qualifications. The innovative educational program is based on identifying the needs and interests of the educated, which have become the basis for determining the development of their key competencies for lifelong learning. The educational program creates motivating content from the consumer’s lifes and uses case studies and interactive forms of education. Against the background of ten case studies, Social and Civic Competences and Communication in the Mother Tongue are being developed. To measure the development of key competencies, educators have developed their own measurement tools in three different performance categories. The verification of ten lesson models in the partner countries confirmed that the lesson models are suitable for the needs of the target group and enable the development of selected key competencies. Educators have confirmed that tools for measuring the development of key competencies allow them to be measured in different quality of performance. By participating in the implementation of the project, educators have increased their professional competencies in creating programs that are made-to-measure to eductional needs of the learners. The educational program has expanded the offer of educational programs for the unemployed and can be used for all types of schools, faculties preparing teachers, in-service teacher trainig and the consumer public. The program is an open educational resource available in Slovak, Czech, Italian, Greek and English.
