Project Summary

The name of our project is “Different countries, the same values”. The main goal is to learn about European values , cultures and improve language skills of all project participants. Thanks to this action, participants will learn about other realities and other cultures, coming to the conclusion that values are universal. The contact of our students with schools in other countries will give the world a global perspective that they will see as adults. Knowledge and respect for other cultures, learning through cooperation with children from other countries will give students undeniable benefits. In this way they will be formed into responsible, sensitive and empathetic people. School and teachers who take part in this project will improve their skills through contact and learning with colleagues from other countries. The target groups of our project are pupils aged 12 to 15, teachers, parents and other key members of the community (school heads, local councilors and mayors, religious representatives). 20,000 people will indirectly benefit from the activities organized by our project. Pupils and teachers from European partner schools will work on the same tasks and problems. The result of this work will be a significant expansion of didactic facilities supporting teachers in the teaching process. The materials that will be in the database will be of high quality, because each partner school will share its best experiences. The implementation of this project will contribute to raising the level of school education by increasing the knowledge and skills of teachers by learning the best practices in education across Europe. This activity will also be an excellent opportunity to share our culture by providing knowledge about traditions, customs and everyday habits. The project is attended by schools that have so far carried out many Erasmus +, Comenius and eTwinning projects. The experience gained in this way will give numerous benefits in the implementation of the current undertaking. In the project, we will use creative and innovative techniques such as music, drama, dance, painting, meetings and debates. We have planned our project for 24 months. Some activities related to the project are: creating brochures for each school, presenting the areas and regions of each school with photos, preparing Christmas greeting cards for residents of the nursing home, sharing experiences about respect, drawing family portraits, writing a composition “my friend” , class discussion and mental maps on the responsibilities and rules and rights of the child, preparing a common cookbook on “traditional dishes” and healthy eating, preparing a CD on traditional games and sports, developing traditional dance and fashion show of national costumes in a creative and a modern installment, preparation of collective CDs and writing of the final report.
In summary, we have planned 5 project meetings, 5 online conferences, 5 training / training classes and one mass event. There will be 144 bobilities in total. We will use scientific research methods in our project management. Planning and evaluation are very important to us. At the beginning of the project all schools will create one team in accordance with their research skills in planning and evaluating activities. To measure the quality of our project, we will apply pre-test and post-test, before and after the project. We will evaluate tangible results and then present them. In order to measure intangible assets, we will conduct group interviews with all parties (teachers, students, parents, etc.).
Partners will have a deeper understanding of Europe that will help participants integrate and respect other languages and traditions. The people involved in the project, including parents, staff and the school community, will discover languages they have never heard before, learn new language skills and new facts about previously known countries. They will be friends and gain self-confidence as citizens of Europe. They will develop long-lasting positive experiences. The aim of the project is to motivate children to learn about European cultures and their own culture. The impact on children as learners will be multidimensional – experiences will be positive and pleasant in the educational environment, reaching children who may never meet with children and adults from other countries. All involved employees will benefit from sharing practice with colleagues through different teaching and learning methods. This will strengthen their professional development, contributing to raising the standards of school achievements in the future.
