Project Summary
Creative industries is a relatively new concept, and includes areas involving scientific or artistic creativity, including fashion design, fashion and accessories. It targets everything that is produced by science and artistic creativity and has industrial potential, that enter into the economic circuit, create added value, generate government revenue through taxes paid, creates jobs and profit, help regional and national development. In this context, the project aimed to create an instrument of innovative training enabling the target group to learn and put into practice various ways to improve their knowledge in fashion and fashion design, fashion accessories and jewelry and entrepreneurial knowledge necessary for market penetration and internationalization of business.
Specific objectives were:
1:Conduct studies in all participating countries, on the development of creative industries, especially those in the field of fashion (fashion design, jewelry, fashion accessories) and assembling them in a comprehensive study in order to identify training needs and directions subsequent action.
Results were O1 Study regarding the development of creative industries+O2 Study regarding the identified training needs and other problems in fashion industry+O3 Good Practice Guide (including the SWOT analysis)
2:Exchange of best practices in order to prepare itineraries adequate training skills development required for people working in CI (fashion, design, fashion accessories) in order to develop this sector great emphasis on artistic creativity, so as to enter into the economic circuit producing value.The result was the meeting(M2) organised in Italy whose guests were relevant actors in training or fashion industry.
3:Develop an innovative training methodology, in order to train the target group of the project to increase the skills needed in the creative industries of fashion, taking into account the entrepreneurial component in order to develop their business and positioning on both the local market and business internationalization.
Results were O4 Internalization Business Guide + O5 Innovative Training Methodology
4:Organizing 2 pilot training sessions in order to design a map of the itinerary training, where the participants would learn to adapt and acquire the necessary skills within the company’s efficiency targets. Related activities: artistic skills, training on entrepreneurship, self-employment and employment opportunities in the innovative design fashion accessories, management, business internationalization and more. Accordingly, two Learning/Teaching/ Training Activity (C1, C2) in Spain and Austria were held in which 47 experts attended.
5: Meetings between actors in fashion creative industries and people from the target group for multiplying effects associated with the intellectual products were organised where local actors in the creative industries, fashion industry and related fields, officials of related responsible institutions, training providers, (E1-E7) attended. Results were 7 multiplying events in which totally 273 people attended.
Our intellectual outputs were a guide to the fashion industry, producing original and high quality products with high added value.
The partnership of different types of institutions has developed a culture of cooperation.
We considered that the transnational nature of the project was successful to meet the objectives of the project. The project’s transnationality brought the advantages of sharing experience and expertise of each partner, different approaches and complementary approaches in economically and culturally. Another advantage of the transnational character of the project was the results were disseminated in all countries.
The added value of training activities with regards to the achievement of the project objectives was that it was one innovative training methodology which covered virtually all needs of training in fashion and related fields. This included: training on entrepreneurship, self-employment and employment opportunities in the innovative design fashion accessories, management, financing, internationalization business etc.
Innovation was a methodology which involved combining several fields; art and management, art of colors and the internationalization of business, techniques for creating jewelry and marketing, clothing accessories and economic and strategic criteria, chic and entrepreneurship. After completion, this innovative training methodology was available on the website of the project in both the local language and in English. The promotion of entrepreneurship and self-employment were relevant, as statistic data showed that creative industries involved persons motivated to use their energy and creativity to develop small enterprises. The new businesses would bring added value to the economy, as most of their ideas revolve the creative industries. According to these, the impact was long term.
