Project Summary

Nowadays, thanks to the creation of Web 2.0, the E-learning has evolved to the point that it has become a tool ideal for the dissemination of efficient knowledge and the promotion of a commonly and socially constructed understanding. The e-learning proves to be an efficient means for ensuring the chances equality for the European young volunteers, developing their competences all along their EVS, and commit them into a continuous and easy-to-achieve learning process, so that they could enhance their skills, optimize their role within the host community, and pave their way towards their career. The e-learning, can be an efficient and sustainable educational tool to support mentors, trainers and supervisors the volunteers as well. In this context, we wish to co-operate with our partners engaged in the EVS, coming from 6 Euro Med countries in order to launch a project made up of diverse & complementary activities for 18 months, centered on the topic of on-line educational support for the volunteers. Our project consists of the following activities:- A 2-days transnational Project meeting in Tunisia, whereby the person in charge of the project of every partner organization will be gathered to determine in common the methods of the implementation of the project and the role to be assigned by every partner.- Preparation of 2 researches schemes which aim at detecting the specific needs of the EuroMed volunteers in terms of On-line trainings.- A 9-days Training course in Tunisia, which will involve 4 participants from each partner organization (namely, 3 participants who work directly with the volunteers and one instructor-designer). It will also enable them to create 22 on-line trainings commensurate to the needs of the volunteers through our platform (e-evs.eu).- Completion and testing the on line courses (During 2 months).- A 9 -days Training course in Greece, will gather the same persons who took part in the previous one). The aim of this TC will be creating evaluation tools and instruments for the validation of the skills developed by the beneficiaries of the platform & to train participants to become E-mentors devoted to the volunteers who benefit from our Moodle platform. – Creating a technical and pedagogical tool for the exploitation of our platform to the interest of the beneficiaries.- A 5-month operation of the On-line trainings through our Platform, by the volunteers, whereby the E-mentors will provide the proper support to the beneficiaries. During these 5 months each partner will send 1 volunteer to another partner for 1 month to take part to our platform during all process. – Creating & disseminating a promotional video and post cards, in order to promote our platform in large scale .- A 2-day transnational evaluation meeting in Lebanon, during which we will evaluate our project and will define a common plan to ensure the sustainability of our platform.
