Project Summary

All the partners have taken the four main strategic objectives of the 2020 ET framework into consideration, especially the objectives concerning the quality and efficiency of education and training, besides enhancing creativity and innovation. All the partners are of the opinion that learning to use technology in the right way is one of the key competencies that will be fundemental in the future and by means of this project we offer the students the neccessary framework in which they can master these competencies which will be useful for them in any of the areas they will choose for their careers.
The partners from Slovakia( Coordinator), Turkey, Italy ,Portugal represent a colorful diversity and the partnership extends across a wide European territory. The rationale behind international partnerships is that they are supposed to add value which cannot be obtained through national partnerships.
Creating an international calloboration within a diverse socio-cultural scope bestows a European added value to the project, thus making it possible to add brand new values to our own countries.
The project mainly aims to:
*provide a chance to develop an intercultural understanding and language learning opportunity for the staff and the pupils besides developing new lifelong skills and competencies for an effective education.
*integrate technology into the lessons and make students more interested in the subjects they are studying by means of ICT practice
*facilitate colloboration in interactive learning sessions to improve skills and key competencies
*prepare a portfolio including the workshops and other materials used during the mobilities
*set up a common website through which all the members of the partnership can communicate and share their experiences, this will also improve the self confidence and communication competencies of the pupils which will help them attain personal and professional skills.
*set up a cultural and language understading environment
*reflect and set down the best practice to share with the partners taking part and with the community in a wider scope during and after the project life.
*ensure that digital technology is a central consideration in all areas of the curriculum and that we should focus on how to use it effectively.
*provide guidance for all partner schools to have an access to digital technology.
*create technologically-literate students so they will be a more qualified workforce for their country.
All the partners will employ an approach which makes sure that all the activities and results are shared in a calloborative way. It is foreseen that the project will include around 120 students and stuff during five mobilities in Italy, Slovakia, Turkey,Portugal in two years of implementation period.
The project outputs are listed below:
*4 short term exchange of students( Portugal-Slovakia-Italy-Turkey) during which the students will master on the use of technology and neccessary tools in order to develop calloborative skills,detail-orientation ,organizational ,communicational or problem solving skills ,group work and critical thinking, digital and IT skills besides print making, comic, image and film making etc.
*Students’ training their fellow friends when they return from the host country
*A portfolio of the workshops and implementation of the project to each school curriculum – methodology ” How we use state-of-the-art technology as teaching aids” – material prepared for practical use
*Calloboration of partners on e-twinning and project website
*Leaflets,flyers and Newsletters
It’s foreseen that the impact of the project will be felt at various levels including students , other participants and neighbouring schools. We envision that the project will help them develop many new skills in teaching and learning fields, by means of which a new horizon for changes into the wider community will be provided.
It is expected that the project will;
*Increase experience and understanding about such issues like sustainability and globalization, besides providing the students and staff with a skill to grasp and apply new teaching/learning techniques.
*Develop a different perspective among the participants in terms of teaching and learning skills which will support acquisition and responsibility levels.
*Provide a direct access to necessary teaching materials in a European extent.
*Maintain a broader understanding of teaching and learning dimensions boosted by the use of smart boards and tablets.
The advantages of the project are innumerable and in the long run, permanent. This project will help us modernize our curriculum and provide our students and staff with new skills necessary to be productive European individuals. The website of the project which holds all the materials data about the activities will be supplied for at least five years following the termination of the project. In this way, we will make sure that the project’s life span extends to a broader future.
