Project Summary
Most of the international institutions agree with the IMPACT OF YOUNGSTERS ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND QUALIFICATION in their work insertion. Furthermore, due to the globalization processes, over 15 million European people are working abroad in an INTERNATIONAL ATMOSPHERE. These two complementary trends are forgotten in the job-shadowing activities currently organized by our schools, in which our students are enrolled in some companies or institutions without any previous preparation. The schools, which are involved in this project, believe that the PROMOTION OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP OR RESEARCH PROJECTS before participating in these job-shadowing activities will increase the impact of these experiences. Students will develop their own skills in advance and will take advantage of the job enrollment. Besides, this experience will be even more interesting if it can be developed in a FOREIGN COUNTRY because students can compare different working systems and cultural backgrounds.
This project, called ENTREPRENEURSHIP AN QUALIFICATION THROUGH INTERSHIPS is aimed at IMPROVING WORK QUALIFICATION i and ENHANCING ENTRPRENEURSHIP among our students by :- encouraging students to DEVELOP ENTREPRENEURSHIP OR RESEARCH PROJETCS related to their own interests: science, ICT projects, enterprises, business, etc.- SELECTING THE BEST PROJECTS according to their excellence in order to be developed in a local or international institution- IMPROVING LANGUAGE & ICT SKILLS of the students who have to collaborate in an international institution- IMPROVING THE WRITTEN & ORAL COMMUNICATION SKLLS of the students who have to prepare a proposal or project to be developed in their working positions- ENHANCING INTERNATIONAL AND INTERCULTURAL AWARENESS among teachers and students.
Three schools take part in this project: IES Ramiro de Maeztu (Madrid, Spain), which is the applicant partner, Istituto E. Montale Nuovo IPC (Genoa, Italy), and Lorentz Lyceum (Arnhem, The Netherlands). IES Ramiro de Maeztu and Lorentz Lyceum are bilingual schools which have International Baccaularate Sections. On the other hand, Istituto E Montale Nuovo is an innovative school specialized in language learning All these three partners are points of reference for schools in their cities and have a great experience in innovation and collaboration in international projects.
The project will be developed through different stages. First of all, the schools involved will encourage their students to DEVELOP THEIR OWN ENTREPRENEURSHIP OR RESEARCH PROJECTS tutored by their teachers. After a period of time, the best projects will be selected and the schools will offer the rest of their partners complementary job-shadowing options which let students work in an international atmosphere, learning different working systems in a EU country and developing their projects which couldn´t be easily applied in a local institution. Finally, there will be an ENTREPRENEURSHIP CONFERENCE, which will be held in Madrid. In this final event, the most interesting students´ projects will be shown and disseminated among our communities. Furthermore, the participant schools will also organized other activities addressed to promote entrepreneurship among our students or to increase their interest in innovation, such as MASTERCLASSES, SHORT-TERM STAYS IN INSTITUTIONS OR LECTURES.
The expected results at the end of the project will be the ENTREPRENEUR PROJECTS of the students, which will be collected and presented on the webpage of the project and a final CONFERENCE FOCUSED ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP AT SCHOOL in which the students will explain their experience to the rest of the school community and compare these international job-shadowing activities with the local ones.
The expected impact on the participant schools will be the following:- To INCREASE THE INTEREST IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION among the students involved in the project- To SPREAD GOOD PRACTICES among the schools, which will take advantage of the synergies provided by their partners- To IMPROVE THE LANGUAGE COMPETENCE of the students involved in the project- To INCREASE THE SCIENTIFIC, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND LEARN TO LEARN SKILLS of our students – To promote the COLLABORATION BETWEEN SECONDARY SCHOOLS AND EXTERNAL INSTITUTIONS OR STAKEHOLDERS Finally, when the project comes to its end, the schools will try to continue promoting ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROJECTS among their students before their job shadowing activities. Furthermore the schools involved in this project will offer a set of internships to foreign students to give them the opportunity to have an international job placement experience
