Project Summary
Context of the project: This project has deepened on the work and the results obtained in the previous project “Avoid school dropout: steps towards the European reference objectives”. The surveys carried out with families and students in five different countries showed the importance of the methodology as a motivation tool to prevent the earlier dropping out of the students.
Objectives: Implement proposals that involve changes in the methodology, in the orientation of students and in the promotion of entrepreneurship, things that will undoubtedly help reduce the rate of students prone to leave the school system and improve their motivation to study. The association considers entrepreneurship, not only a cross-curricular area in their own curricula, but also one of the most motivating and innovative fields to develop. The association also aims to generate good practices that can be useful in all schools that participate in the project. Knowing what each country does in a subject such as entrepreneurship, how it is addressed, what are the study plans of each country, what materials have already been developed, etc … has been of great help to all members of the association .
We also intend as a long-term benefit to reach the training centers run by unemployed young people. One of our objectives will be to help in the long term to reduce unemployment, which in some of the countries of the association is currently a big problem.
Last, but not least, we have created a network of teachers and school leaders that will be maintained once the project has come to an end.
We believe that entrepreneurship is not only a subject to be taught, but also a way of behaving and working. Definitely, an attitude that we should transfer to our young people in Europe.
