Project Summary
The pandemic that we are experiencing has made it more visible that educational institutions must transform. With this project we want to take an important step in this regard. How? We believe that the EntreComp Framework is the line to follow. Thus, it was proposed during the Odense TCA (October 2019) by the Spanish school to the Portuguese school. From then on, collaboration was strengthened, two other schools were invited to participate and today this project is our commitment to transform ourselves.
Erasmus + has opted for creativity and its link with the artistic, although, in this project we defend that if creativity is not worked with vision, identification of opportunities, ethical thinking, self-knowledge, initiative, … . and nine other entrepreneurial competences included in the EntreComp Framework (European Commission); it will be difficult to achieve solid results.
Our project pursues four objectives:
1) Develop practical training in EntreComp among teachers and students that ends with an assessment in which we assess the entrepreneurial skills in our students between 13 and 16 years old
2) Develop a plan to train leaders among the students who have obtained the best results in EntreComp with a theme based on European citizenship.
3) Develop guidance and inclusion plans for students at risk of dropping out of the education system based on EntreComp evaluations.
4) Establish changes in the official documents of the schools, from a creative and collaborative process, so that the transformation is possible. Thus, a hackathon will be organized in each participating school. In this activity, the students and teachers of the visiting centers put their entrepreneurial skills into practice by observing and identifying the strengths and areas for improvement in each school. Subsequently, the students and teachers of each visiting school have to meet to make a cooperative evaluation report of the visited school and its environment. With the help of these reports and the entrepreneurial skills acquired, the students and teachers of the visited school will cooperatively develop a plan to improve the center to transform certain aspects, which will be transferred (in part or in whole) to the educational project.
The number of students we involve in this project will exceed 200 in the EntreComp assessment phase. Subsequently, in the leadership and inclusion phase, we will work with some 80 students (approximately 20 students per center) attending to outstanding profiles, as well as students at risk of exclusion.
Teachers are other groups involved in this project and that seek the incorporation of EntreComp as a way to give value to certain skills and abilities of students, which have great value in their development as people, but that many occasions are not. registered and valued by the curricula.
Families and local administrations are other groups that we have in this project because we know that without their participation, the desired transformation is not possible.
The EntreComp training that we are going to carry out is a creative and participatory training in which students are trained based on workshops and dynamics in which they will always be asked for a result or final product. The creations and results will be closely linked to the artistic expressions (they will include micro stories, short dramatizations, models, exhibitions, …). Indicate that the process is going to be as important as the result (for this, schools have developed and will use evaluation rubrics with which they value entrepreneurial skills)
As results of the project we will have:
+ Tests and evaluation rubrics for EntreComp
+ Guide with the activities and tasks used in the leadership training plans through the EntreComp.
+ Results that the students have generated from the various dynamics and workshops of the training (micro stories, dramatizations, models, exhibitions, …)
+ 12 Evaluation reports from each school on the school visited and its surroundings
+ 4 improvement plans for each of the schools participating in the project.
We want the expected impact on the schools to be reflected in the incorporation into the educational projects of the schools of aspects included in the improvement plans.
With the involvement of families and local administrations, we want this impact to be transferred to the community, accepting some of the points that are included in the improvement plans.
