Project Summary

The basic idea of the future Erasmus-Partnership of an intercultural model to create inclusion
and a special kind of participation in society for children and students with special needs arose
during the current Erasmus mobility activity and was developed by teachers and students. It
is a result of the good cooperation between the involved schools.
The project focuses to strengthen the awareness for the environment of our students
referring to their special needs. The new project will help the students to defend themselves
against acts of exclusion, intolerance and xenophobia. The proposals are multi-layered and
will help the students to develop their own personality, to improve their competences and
skills, in addition to strengthen their responsibility for nature and the environment. The
approach to natural resources, ecosystems and the protection against negative circumstances
of a natural habitat are now central aspects for our students. Furthermore, the project will
help to reduce the amount of early school leavers. The realisation that a good life now and in
the future corresponds to an entire environment is the base line in every activity. The students
participate actively in our society and help to implement the preservation of nature. The
nature and the landscape are the baseline for our existence. Consequently, they need to be
protected. In addition, we need to ensure sustainability to realise a balance between the
current and future life.
The project will be organised interdisciplinary and across forms and will involve the whole
school.
In the forefront, local clubs and organisations appear in the respective schools and present
their environmental profile. During the activities multinational thinking and acting as well as
sympathy and understanding for each other will be promoted. Every student does a workshop
including local proposals which imply the resulting and inclusive ideas to document especially
the social participation. Consequently, we have a selection of a European diversity in all
partner regions, which gives an insight into the corresponding profiles.

Lesnica (Poland) protection of forests and recycling
Rudolstadt recycling and renewable energies
Pula (Croatia) protection and preservation of the sea – Adria
Stribro (Czech) the use of water as a source of energy
Puck (Poland) environmentalism at the island Hel- Baltic Sea

During each mobility every student has to create his or her individual certificate. They will be
able to take photos and make short movies independently. These media skills will help to
create their individual certificate of attendance including the logo which will be the basis and
the result of the first meeting. The logo will be the badge of our project and each student will
get a T-Shirt with our symbol.
At the same time, we explore in companionship new ways of learning and learning methods,
learn about specific and local activities. We also get to know special features of the European
countries, work practice-oriented and achieve the opportunity of European conferencing.
Collective practice-oriented working shall generate respect and acceptance for several
impairments, together with other lifestyle habits accompanied by the national characteristics
in regard of environmentalism, ecology, diversity of species and territory. Basic features of our
project for sustainability are aspect of saving water and energy, recycling of material, nutrition
and of course waiver of plastics and disposable products. These aspects are going to be
established and developed during the two years of our project.
Learn basis and learn cause generate the issue of an “European handbook for active
environmentalism”. The handbook presents country specific core themes. The resulting
handbook will be used as a basis for future students of each school to draw interest to a certain
environmental issue.
The experiences, which the traveling group (6 students/ 3 teachers) gathers in the partner
school, can be passed on in a full to the other participants directly. A scorecard for active
environmentalism and sustainability was created corporately and will be used by our
corresponding firms and institutions in form of a pollution badge which was created by the
students themselves. That will guarantee an intense cooperation.
We will use our own homepage, European platforms and E-twinning to present our activities
and to support the dissemination of our results.
The participation in that project is an amazing advantage for our students and a chance to get
to know parts of Europe. For most of them it is the only way to go abroad and get to know
these activities, countries and traditions. The sustainability is granted throughout the media
representation. Additionally, the project will be included into the conception of the respective
schools.
