Project Summary

Forging Links, Forging Futures is an innovative project at Primary School level that has grown form previous successful collaboration between Raynville Primary School, Leeds and St Colmans B.N.S, Macroom, Co.Cork. We want to build upon our foundations that these two schools have already laid down and continue to move forward, striving for impact for not only just the participants but for other stakeholders in school and the wider communities of both schools. This project will really enable our school community to develop an understanding of what is out there, both in terms of opportunities available to them and other cultures, beyond their immediate locality of the classroom, school and neighbourhood. Through short term school exchanges, our pupils will experience at first hand a different educational experience and develop the skills and attributes that are required to work collaboratively with others and learn that in order to achieve agreed outcomes, cooperation, understanding and mutual respect are all imperative. Both schools are determined that every pupil in their care will learn to develop all the skills and attributes necessary to make good citizens in their community and in the wider world.
